Movistar is no longer on 30W, they stopped broadcasting any HD channels long ago, and finally stopped broadcasting all together, which did upset some subscribers, who couldn't get 19.2E, due to mountains.
They do have some channels that only broadcast using cable, and not satellite, but I should imagine they'll broadcast 4K football on 19.2E, althought they also broadcast on 61W:

Yes Mickha this subject has been covered elsewhere when I suggested that Spain may be served by just one satellite position I was shot down in flames when it was explained to me that the Mountain ranges in Spain are very high & what I had proposed was not possible :-rofl2
On the other side of the Mountain Ranges in Spain some cannot get 19.2 east & visa versa with 30 west :-doh

This is why they have to have 2 satellite positions 30W & 19.2E to cover the whole of Spain.

I thought Movistar left 30W, even though a few Spanish, SD, channels still remain.
The strange thing is that 30W does list Hispasat 4K 11262 V DVB-S2 HEVC/UHD 8PSK 3/4 30000, which has a Spanish audio track.

11262 V 30000 3/4 DVB-S2/8PSK MPEG-4/HEVC

Nuevo canal: Hispasat 4K HEVC, fin: Hispasat 4K.
Nuevo canal: Hispasat HD H264, fin: HDR demo

Movistar + issues in 4K relevant events for years over IPTV using the 4K TV (UHD) it sold.
Now the idea after 2 years of testing is to get IPTV chnnels in 4K (UHD) with continuous broadcast.

Since 2017 Hispasat stopped being used at the end of the contract, yes, it is a problem not to have Hispasat, but it is what there is.

Calling the Movistar + information phone (1004 from Spain), the operators inform that by mid 2019 (at this time, surely), they have the idea of launching 4K broadcasts (UHD) on the Astra satellite at 19'2º East.

The new receiver of Movistar+4K (UHD) Satelite/IPTV is not ready, the final phase is delayed, only the IPTV 4K (UHD) version is commercialized.

IPTV clients are changed the IPTV HD receiver by the new, by list ode, if you ask, you can skip the list (+50€).

At the time, I already tried in 2013 with emissions, we will see what happens within 1 year.
In Astra there is nothing and in Hispasat neither today, tomorrow nor idea.

In Hispasat you had demos of 4K broadcasts (UHD) for years,
Hispasat 4K, HDR demo

On 8-9-2018 closed and started new demos, similar to others, are in:
11262 V 30000 3/4 DVB-S2 / 8PSK MPEG-4 / HEVC

New channel: Hispasat 4K HEVC, end: Hispasat 4K.
New channel: Hispasat HD H264, end: HDR demo

=============================

It is a very "interesting" performance test for some, told in a simple way.

It allows us to see the same channel in the near future, in its 2 versions as we now have an SD channel and an HD channel on DTT, but on satellite.

PQ this test? You can use a normal HD satellite deco to watch these channels.

The HD channels go with codec H264, the Iplus of Movistar. + Perfect, other companies could also give the "jump".

For fast readers, any normal HD deco (50 € uros) has no trouble tuning / watching the channel.

The HD channel has 6Mbs of video / bitrate, the 4K channel (UHD) has 18Mbs of video / bitrate. (24Mbs if we add).

In the near future, and counting on the fingers (as always), they could put 2 HD channels without using any shoehorn.

If the tests in TDT2 that I saw / medi, for 4K (UHD) I add them, it would be like that the tp / frequency used.

2 --HD channels with a BitRate of 3-4Mbs (it is not one of the worst ones).
2 --4K channels (UHD) with a BitRate of 9-10Mbs

With a tp / frequency of 48Mbs, I do not need to say what they can really put in.?

This sees a normal SD / HD receiver.

If you do not have antenna to Hispasat, you miss these jokes, this "sung" where the tests point, time will tell if you had the ball, the cuts do not forgive.

Movistar + issues in 4K not use h265 ?
.
Of course, a 4K receiver uses H265.
It is important to remember that currently Movistar + does not have 4K satellite receivers installed in the clients' homes.
It only has 4K IPTV receivers.

I comment the last tests 8-September-2018.
Surely it will be the future of the new satellite channels, so far 2, 4 channels all in H265.

Now one channel is on H265 and the other channel on H264.
The 2 channels have a very low bitrate.
The apparent warmth for our eye is very good.
In tests last year with Digital Terrestrial Televison channels, also on satellite, I could see channels with bitrate of 6Mbs-8Mbs and without problems with games and other scenes with very fast movements.

Before a 4K (UHD) channel could have a bitrate of 23Mbs, now with 6-8Mbs it looks perfect.
Now a tp / frequency allows to put many channels, the problem of the first broadcasts.
Apologies for the translation .
---------

Movistar+ platform for satellite channels.

Currently, neither has nor had any channel broadcasting in 4K by any satellite.
IIn 2013 I made some tests and an end, never again, like Canal+ españa.
Movistar is not the same Movistar+
Movistar =/= Movistar+
