What happened when you tried a manual reset procedure on the original motor ?
 
So, i managed to setup the motor at 23.5 east, and tightened the brackets, will test the arc tonight and see how well i've done :)

I did reset a couple of times, tried different receivers to get it working, but it got stuck at zero.
 
This is the transponder i set it up with, 12187 H 29900 - REBEL. Credit to william-1 for his work on strongest transponders :)

And even that is not correct since Vu stops at 17db. So you don't actually know if the value is full and goes above that... You should also try the weakest transponders.
 
I am using Axas E4HD combo, for the motor movement. After trying to setup with diseqc 1.2, i was going from zero to 13 east, so i decided to try usuals, i put in my longitude and latitude and it worked!! I have successfully moved to 34.5 west and stopped there, 65 on the motor. However only 22 west clears channels, i must have some blockage from a palm tree :(

I also successfully moved to 74.9 east, 55 on the motor. However only 70.5 east clears channels, i'm using vhannibal motor settings atm. I think for first time setup i'm quite happy :)

Do you mean the tuner is not reporting correctly? Weakest transponders to maximize the signal, i did with static dish, for motor since this was my first install, i used strongest to get it going, because night-time came :)

Is there a difference, lower or higher on the shaft to attach dish?

I installed a new satellites.xml according to my Co-ordinates, plus some new settings from chveneburi, and i managed to move the dish to 90 east, and clear some channels :)

Hi, in my 90 east report, i was using 2nd tuner on the Axas E4HD combo, so i can use the loop-through. Which has a higher signal in db, so i used Edision OS Mini 4K this time.

I can only receive these channels. Used OpenWebif to get data :)

Thank you. These are more realistic db values for this satellite, because I saw you had 12db and was very surprised.
 
O.k i'm back to Vhannibal Motor 70°E-45°W, clearing 22 west to 70.5 east.
I'm still hoping to get 30 west, with maybe another dish mounted elsewhere!
 
After moving the 1 meter dish to a new position, i managed to clear 30 west channels! My friend who is an installer told me, i had not correctly aligned the dish on the moteck sg2100a before.

That's a heck of a range! 90E to 30W... and I struggle to get beyond 50E here. You should be able to get up to 58W but that's C band only area.
 
My co-ordinates give me 53 west to 100.5 east, don't know if this possible?
