Bond (strapped to laser-cutting table): "What, Blofeld? Do you expect me to talk??"
Blofeld (leaving): "No mr Bond. I expect you to Die!"

Had thrown some hardware stuff out of the garage, that is going to be potential work for this summer.
- red- mounts for SMW 1400 and 1600 antennas, perhaps going to be sand-blasted and repainted;
- green- polar-mount for 1,8m plastic dish, removing of rust and changing fasteners to INOX.
- blue- couple of CM120 polar-mounts- to be sand-blasted, repainted and all fasteners changed
- pink- PM for NSC 120cm antenna, nothing to be done, as it is brand new, should be just installed;
- black- motor, potentially adopted for some 120cm antenna.
- yellow - polar mount for Echostar 120 and 100cm antennas- to be repainted, screws changed and installed.

.... and, of course, other projects, which will not necessary be soon finished.

Some time ago I installed pole for antenna, I even had antenna on it. Pole1 (Large).JPG As I remember the hole was 120-130cm deep, about 25-30cm wide and consumed lots of concrete and stones. P1230767 (Large).JPG Today I decided to make this pole more universal, so upper part was taken down and will be replaced by new heavy metal (weight more than 20 kg) 8mm wall thickness piece of pipe. Will weld it to original plate to fit 4 threaded pins. Will also weld 6 20mm bolts in 2 levels. So, at the end will be able to fix any pipe inside the big one and make it dead plumb. Unfortunately not all the materials are INOX here, will be painted. IMG_20150625_183900 (Large).jpg IMG_20150626_143605 (Large).jpg IMG_20150626_150923 (Large).jpg

Nobody except me is playing at my playground, so no big changes, everything is in same condition... just needs some attention.
Continued working on universal antenna-stand. Little bit of metal-brushing, angle-grinding and rust removing. Big pipe starts to get it's needed shape. It has 125mm inner diameter, so, pipes like 40-50-60-70-90-100mm will be easily fixed and plumbed inside. I am not going to hang dishes on this holder bigger than 160cm (for 180cm I have another stand).

Not big update, just worked little bit on universal pole: sandpapered, made 9 x 6 mm holes to be enlarged to 20mm afterwards. IMG_20150627_112717 (Large).jpg
Also took apart polar-mount for 1,8m dish, greased everything with copper geese, changed nuts and bolts to INOX where possible and put it together. Basically, now it is more or less ready for installation. Luckily I have brand new 36' actuator which should perfectly fit to this mount. It seems very easy, just take drill and make 9 big holes in pipe with wall thickness only 8mm.... Went to the shop to look for drill, they did not have ATM 20mm, so I took 22mm crown Bosh. Bosh survived only 3,5 holes IMG_20150627_174935 (Large).jpg , rest I drilled out by usual drill bits IMG_20150627_193145 (Large).jpg . So, at the end I have 6 x 18mm holes and 3 x 22mm holes. IMG_20150627_211022 (Large).jpg Therefore decided to acquire 9 x 16mm INOX nuts and 9 x 16x 60mm galvanized bolts, Yes, bolts will be galvanized in purpose (do not think I am going crazy o_O ). 2 neighbors came to help me, they also helped with beer drinking and fish eating. :-rofl2

Looking good Rimants :), what drill bit did you have in that drill please, a little advice when drilling steal, start with a smaller bit and work your way up, if I was drilling a 22mm hole I would probably use 4 different sized bits, also the drill your using is no good for steal it will go too fast and burn the drill out like it has done, get yourself a cheap pillar drill:).

This is not criticism, just good advice, its a great job your doing :)

Yeah I always work my way up the drill bits when drilling large-ish holes. I want to get a cheap-ish multi-speed bench drill - should help with my unsteady hands.
