Here's one taken on Monday morning over in France, quite pleased with the result, as these little birds don't keep still for long.

Taken with my E-500 using the Sigma 50-500mm lens at 500mm.

Here are some Bee photos taken with the 70-300mm lens, useful as it can focus down to 1m for near macro photography.

I like the bird one. I've been trying to get a good one of the sparrows in my garden- without much luck.

Young Great Spotted Woodpecker in our garden this evening. At one point we had 2 adults & 2 youngsters in the garden!

(Taken on extreme zoom on a Samsung point and shoot out of an upstairs window)

Our woodpeckers are fairly tame - the aduilts feed quite happily on the fat balls hanging on the bird table 8 feet from the living room windows :D

Must try and get a pic of the nuthatch that appears quite regularly too. :)

A birds eye primrose taken in Teesdale a couple of weeks ago :)

As the damn things are only a couple of inches high this was taken by lying full length on the grass

A puffin on the south coast of Iceland. He was really tame and was only sitting about 8 feet from me!

Was quite proud of this one, took a long time and a lot of shots to get it in focus. :)

Took a few others as well, can be seen over at Thames Valley Birds

We get ethereal mists here in the Vale of Mowbray, owing to unusual topography: Most of the N.York Moors run North/South, but my view from the back windows is of the only East/West hill in the area and it creates a sort of bowl with it's own micro-climate.

Nice to look at, but outwith our photographic abilities, sadly.
