For the first time in three days the clouds lifted at dusk, producing exquisite light. I got these two sunset shots from the end of the drive, where it joins the 'main' road.

That's a cracker Pete, love the atmosphere, the Finepix is a nice camera, used to have the s5000 myself, but the s1700 is leaps and bounds above it.:)

I spotted the potential of this picture but struggled to find a compromise with the lamp posts etc, I think it works OK for an amateur and shows lots of recent development including the Trade Tower

a nice set of pictures - Topper -- recent sunsets have been superb -

- the weather has been so good recently -- just a little cold in the evenings --
i,v included a couple of pics from my walk today -- the first is ribblehead viaduct taken from whernside summit -- the second is looking towards ingleborough after i came off whernside a mile or so above the viaduct --
(camera -- just my old konica minolta)

Just popped outside about 10pm and saw this blood red moon rising between the trees. Apologies for the blur, but I didn't have time to look for a tripod!!

Fantastic - I haven't seen a Moon that colour in around 45 years. Truly.

I was ten at the time and my initial reaction was one of utter fascination. It has stuck in my memory and your pics have brought that memory back.
