found a used pole to use as king post £30 :) received full go ahead from planning its not needed :)
Wait, let me get this straight...
Do I understand correctly that you (despite feeling the need to make the mobile platform) have applied for a PP to erect a fixed CM2.4 anyway, and got full go-ahead on it??

Did you bribe them?
Does your best mate work at the council or something?

no ive not applied for planning ive made sure its not needed before the install I would advise anyone to do the same before any installation

I know its not needed but planners can make there own rules the case below he was made to remove his tower
Inspector to decide on radio mast appeal

I did not want this happening to me so ive made sure I have in writing planning is not needed

NO ive not bribed anyone and no friends in planning just making sure my dish stays

thanks i thought best to ask and get the go ahead i will get complaints i have troublesome neighbour, now they have sais yes they will have to support me, if i was to do the install without asking they could bend the rules and make me take it down as in the case above,

more to come on this install i will be able to raise/lower the dish by 3ft to clear obstacle past 57E

Sorry, but , no such thing as pink steel, pink marmol , equates to granite worktop in old English.
Just my opinion !

very easy to do, this will be cut down to approximately 5ft

the king post is a nice fit over the H beam so will sleeve over the top
IMG_2737.JPG

nuts will be welded to king post at various height bolts will lock king post in place

now for raising/lowering i have in workshop two new winch this way i use pulleys

other option in workshop is farm jack

Some time ago, in Texas, this 5m dish was for sale. Price was about 2k$. I was even thinking of getting it, but somehow did not.

A change of plan, instead of using these as the track
img_2660-jpg.98183

I am now using these
IMG_3132.JPG

The concreate ones are far to heavy to get where I want them, weather permitting I should get the track down tomorrow, getting close to installation now :)
