They look like Carburettors to me.

I see. Which may explain why I have never seen something like that - I only ever had cars with electronic fuel injection.
(which is nonesense anyway - fuel injection is very difficult to virtualise.)

I think they were the type that went on the Datsun 240Z....which had a straight six cylinder engine.

That is quiet chilly here. I do not think I will have BBQ or do outside SAT-hardware stuff over the weekend. And they promise temperature drop below -20*C.
Good morning everyone and have a nice day.

Well we have -8 now here, and forecast for -15 around 9:00 in the morning. Brrrr.
I too will leave the dishes where they are for now, and wait for more spring-like weather :)

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
FWIW, w.r.t. those Weber carbs and fuel injection, a UK company called Jenvey has developed Weber DCOE "lookalike" bodies that are actually fuel injection units - see here and here , but you need something like an old Aston Martin to justify the expense (and I don't & so won't)!:(

OTOH, maybe RimaNTSS can build something like that to fit on something more prosaic like the 1960s Minis that I used to have (another project for his garage when he is not using his BBQ! :D) ?

I do not think I am so complicated
Good morning all! Another pick from the site. It is refreshing again. Funny thing that they promise even lower temperatures tomorrow morning. Fortunately, I will not be taking any pictures tomorrow and scare you, as no need to drive early on Saturdays.
I just thinking: Would be interesting to go outside and put some F-connectors on coax :). Is that even possible?

Didn't sleep a whole heap last night as the winds picked up around 1:30AM howling and moaning ..and are still trying to tear my dishes down this morning ..
I suspect I will lose at least one modified Cband aero lnb as it was ripped clean off the TD110 ..and is now langing on by it's coax ..with the weight of this plus the conical feed on the end of the wire ..
I could save it if I could get a ladder up there ..but it is at roof apex ...and too risky to raise ladders in this wind ..
Not found any other damage yet ..but haven't been for a good look around yet..
I suspect there will be more before the day is out ...not only to dishes ..but to my roof..
doh!

It's been pretty windy here through the night too, my UPSes were doing overtime keeping the power to my gadgets up, no damage that I've noticed so far, aside from the bins being toppled like dominoes, but that happens every time it's wind here...

Apparently there's a bit of snow around in some areas.

Bit of a shock, that, this being Winter.

Anyhow, we've just had a Gritter go past spreading on the lanes. Not that there has been any snowfall around here, yet, but we shall soon see how well the Council's crystal ball is working.

Yep, there's a bit of snow round here, nothing on the scale as predicted by the redtop rags though, just a dusting of the white stuff, which is not quite the cries of wolf that they claimed... :-rofl2
