If you are on facebook ask to join the 360Radar group - loads of help tips & info from fellow enthusiasts and its great fun being able to watch a flight from the living room window or garden and look at the computer or tablet and see what airline it is and where its going from your own tracking stats.

Its very quiet up here atm but this is the sort of thing you can expect to do once you are set up. Further south on the main flight lanes you will see many more flights - if you are in a favoured area with good sightlines out towards the horizon you may see dozens of flights when its busy Have a look at Chir1979's posts to see what he can see from not too far from Yeovil

From my previous post - VT-ALK is an Air India on the Newark - Mumbai route :D

My twig is only 1.8 m above ground level.

According to Flightradar24 I should be able to get 250+ miles if nothing is blocking it.

That’s why I could really do with raising the twig up.

I've got a 3D printer, So I will house the whole lot in a box and put it outside.

Once you get the hang of it virtual radar server is very customisable with things like the custom content plugin.

Loads of great resources available to download all the bits.

Fingers crossed the dish will be sorted on the weekend, once that's done I'll have a good play with this.

Are you guys running more than one radio for both frequencies?
