Not sure I really understand what you are asking, do you have a TV card in your PC?

i still don't have a video capture card. could you recommend a good capture card and a good software to record into dvd format?

Not really too in to this, but most video capture cards come with their own software, the Hauppauge has some quite useful facilities.

well,
i think it would be best to get

1) a DVB card or USB box (around Rs.3500-5000) by which you can directly watch and record satellite programs on ur Pc.

2) a TV Capture card like Dazzle DVC 90 (Rs.4500) or Pinnacle AV/DV (Rs.8500) by which you can record into ur PC using ur current satellite receiver
