Apologies for the necropost, but I'm having dramas with these guys too.
From the outset they barely responded to emails queries, and on the rare occasion they did, it was always very brief/terse.

This should have been the alarm bell but I proceeded nevertheless. O-no
I've since ordered the product and I got some sort of OEM version of what is outlined/advertised on their http://www.satshop.tv/Terratec-Cinergy-C-PCI-HD" page.

It's missing most of the packaging/accessories it should have etc.
And never on their page or in any communication was this made clear.
Other purchasers of this product have confirmed for me that theirs didn't arrive like that.

Can anyone recommend some other decent retailers in Europe aside from DVBShop?
I'd prefer someone that stocks the Terratec Cincergy C PCI HD & can ship to Australia.

Aw shit, had no idea terratec sell directly to end-users. Wish I had known this...
Oh well, the order's gong back to satellites.tv and hopefully I'll get a full refund inc. post (as they've claimed they'll do)

I wanted to get a partial refund (20%?) & keep the item instead of going to that hassle.
But as they're ignoring my emails again it seems to be my only option.....

It is difficult to advise you as obviously being a predominantly European forum we would have no knowledge if any on-line European suppliers were able to reliably ship to Oz and give a recommendation. It looks like your only option is the hard slog of actually emailing them with your specific requirements will be necessary

The best Terratec DE have suggested thus far, is a retailer in the US (bhphotovideo).
For those that don't realise, the US and Australia are geographically nowhere near one another.
The retailer is currently determining if they can bring the card in as a "once off".
Because it's North America, they don't even use the DVB-C format....

Well I gave up in-the-end, satshop continues to ignore my emails to this very day.
I strongly discourage people buying from this retailer, utterly useless.....

Not only did they falsely advertise, but they refused to compromise & offer a partial refund instead of a return.
I didn't want a return, as after exhaustive searching I couldn't find anywhere else that was selling it!

Terratec were almost as bad...
I sent multiple emails to two sections (was advised to communicate with the shop, never got a single response) over many months, & got very little help/feedback.
Eventually the person originally helping became totally rude/unhelpful, so I told them where to go.

I settled on a mystique tuner card from DVBShop instead....
Huge contrast in-terms of communication, smoothness of transaction, etc. etc.
I still have the Cinergy C ...
But if the Mystiqiue continues to be flawless, then I will prolly sell it.

Again, highly recommended that you avoid Satshop if you want a professional/decent online retailer.
Also steer clear of Terratec of you think you might need some decent after sales support etc.

i'm so glad i've found this info about the satshop.tv
i just wanted to do an order from 600 euro but i better don"t do it after i"ve read all this.

i also saw that someone recommended satplace.de but i've had the same problem there,
they have sent me an other diseqc switch then that i had ordered. after e-mailing them their answer was it was the new version they sent me, but they did sent me a spaun sar switch with less options beceause i had ordered the sur switch. they did answer my e-mails but i'm still waiting for my money, i hope they transfer it at my bank account this week.

i had no problems with satkontor.de, fast delivery, the right goods and good online messenger help.

Yeah definitely avoid satshop...
Extremely rude, they just ignore you 99.9% of the time!
Not to mention the false advertising of their products, which they've still not corrected.

Surely there is a way out of this nonsense.Contact the German Embassy in your country(Trade and Industry section) with a copy to the supplier in Germany.Try it.Nothing ventured nothing gained.

I actually did consider that... but I doubt it would be worth my time.
Soveriegn states normally err on the side of protecting their citizens, I seriously I doubt I'd get far.

i didn't think about either, is it worth it ?? forums like this are a good solution .
i hope the shops read this too and they start thinking about it and give the service they need to give.
but it is not only the online shops.. here in Belgium (Antwerp) i didn't find much good satellite shops..
I tried 4 and 3 of them just ripped me of beceause i didn't know much about satellites they sold me things i didn't need and are so expensive to...
the only good service i had was at a local moslim shop here ..
