Moving into a new house soon and it's rented so I won't be able to have a dish on the wall. There isn't even a front or back garden/yard so I'm stuck for some place to have the dish, looks like I may have to try some kind of window setup unless anyone can see something. Mine's on the left

Depends on LOS but you could try a patio mount in the garden ;)

Nextdoor have a sky dish, ask them if you can run a feed off that

That way you`ll still have a feed to 28 untill you can figure out where to mount another elsewhere

Can you not bolt it onto the metal fence outside the front door or would there be no line of site?

Rented, eh?

How much of a liberty do you think the landlord might allow you to take?

If you can't even bolt a dish to the wall my idea might be 'a little extreme', not to mention potentially daft!!! (I'm sure the boys will tell me how daft soon enough....).

So, how about removing the opening sash of one of the bedroom windows and replacing it with some thick (1" or so) external grade ply? Weather-proof it externally then bolt a 'J' mount on to it.

Not sure how stable it would be but could be better than nothing.

S'pose it could also result in the window succumbing to gravity if it ain't fitted very well!

You'd have to do without your motor too.

So....

NEW PLAN -

Talk your new neighbour into some nice, new, shiny, T & K mounts with room for their new 60cm minidish (bribery) and your dish/motor????

I'm going to go away and be quiet again now...........

Think I might have reached my senile phase! :-ohcrap

PS. You sure you want to move in there anyway? Looks like the house next door is on fire!

Knock an 8 foot long square section fence post into the ground up against the wall and bolt the dish to that.

2 x normal tv aerial brackets will bolt to them nicely with some pipe between them - Ive used them for years

Like your thinking but wouldn't it be easier just to thump a length of scaffold pole in instead?

(By the way - why, when I used "Reply with quote", did the second sentence of your response suddenly appear?? Spooky).

Possibly easier yes, depends what the ground is like and if he can get scaff poles of an appropriate length. - I wrote the 2nd sentence after I posted to clarify the point :)

This one could be sticked to glass. No holes, no bolts.

It would be better to use an "Non-penetrating" roof mount, it's held down with some concrete blocks, no holes in the roof to worry about.

They have saddle types that straddle the peak of the roof.

Thanks for the ideas. There's nothing at all, it's practially on the road! Only taking the minidish with me so it won't be very heavy.

Next doors Sky dish is a single LNB...but I do have a quad in the drawer ;)

Railings mount of the fence post trick would work well but I could wake up in the morning with the dish missing!

That doesnt say you cant put a dish up, it just means you have to ask them in writing first, I`ve had that with an old loandlord and he was fine about it aslong as I left the minidish up when I moved out

Tell them you use it to watch God TV and other religious broadcasts

Just as a matter of interest why does the top pic make it look like the right hand flat is on fire or has the roof been hidden in a Bermuda Triangle like fog bank??

Looks like some dirt on the lens.

Anyhow as mentioned, what about a patio mount on a couple of slabs. Should be enough room at the front.
