Advice Needed Strong satellites

sx88+ is tried and tested. The sx88 4k is unknown to us all & the sf8008 is less suited to your preferences.
So either wait for news on the sx88 4k or get an sx88+ :)

Thanks a lot mate will order sx88+ Se

Can I setup 1 meter gibby fixed first play around then buy and install motor
Will the motor attached to pole mount and then dish attached to the motor
Any extra clamp or fitting needed

Yep nothing else needed, the dish will fit straight onto the pole or a motor, and the motor will come with its own clamp. Pole will need to be plumb vertical to get the best from a motor.

Oh dear, it does look perfect for an 80cm. :-wow Did you sign for the parcel ?

Luckily a member has the right one nearby.

I wouldn't worry too much about the scratches on the reflector skirt, the parabola geometry is more important so put the dish on a known flat surface (a modern conservatory window or quality glass table) and see if there is any rocking.

Is arm length ok it’s under 70cm maybe including lnb holder it’s 70cm
When bought new and paid premium price it should be new and un damaged/ scratched
Nope no sign
Reported back to amazon and hm-sat

Looks like HM-sat may possibly have "done it again" by sending with the wrong (i.e. too short) arm - can't be sure as I don't know what the correct length arm is for a 1m SE series dish.

Anyone have se series please confirm arm length

I would copy Gibertini on the correspondence, suppliers of their products need to be held to account, moreso if they fail to carry out quality checks following previous incidents.

Since the geometry of their dishes are almost identical throughout the range, the dimensions are not going to change beyond a few mm. Measure both dimensions of the reflector accurately and the feed arm again side on.

HM-Sat review on amazon
From my personal experience it’s all true

Seems to me that, hopefully, the "collective we"can to find other, and very reliable, suppliers of Gibertini dishes and accessories - thus, can anyone recommend some reliable sources of Gibertini kit anywhere (but preferably in Western/Central Europe)???

I bought my OP Gibertini 100 XP about 12 years ago from hisat,
It arrived in perfect condition the only problem I had was with the plastic Lnb holder that snapped in 2 about 7 years ago, so I e-mailed Gibertini in Italy & they sent me a metal Lnb holder Free of charge :)

@william-1
- I have no issues with Gibertini as a company (my "secondhand" OP 125L was a great catch last year), and, as @Red alert's and your own experience showed, when one of their suppliers, or else a particular component, has "failed" , then they appear to react very positively.
- I also have no "personal issues" with either HM-sat or Hisat (although others - including @Red alert & @Gladstones55! - obviously do) as I have never bought stuff from either of them!
- However, "times have changed" - and so neither of those suppliers appear to be "totally reliable" nowadays.

Thus, the search must go on.

A start, but only a third of the work.

Why do you think the dish as delivered is wrong ( apart from the visible damage)?

Have you checked the performance after assembly ?

What do you want from the supplier / delivery company ?

It’s damaged from one side and other side got a dent as well did not assemble as it’s got scratches at the behind seems it is used or returned item
Then I measured arm length as advised by forum
It is just under 70 cm I wrote to gibertini to confirm length still waiting for that
It’s going back anyway As I paid the full price and received used/returned item.
