Hi Guys new stab HH120 arrived this morning, aligned motor to dish, aligned to Thor everything else just fell into place can get 50 East to 30 West at present. Not had a go at tweaking the alignment yet due to a turn in the weather. One thing I have noticed with the dark motor the rear of the receiver tuner module was getting red hot. With the Stab the tuner is no hotter than a fixed setup. I suspect the Chinese manufactures lie about the actual current there motors draw or it could be the fault causing it. Need to run new cable from the LNB to the motor and sort out the rest of the cables into the house.
Then I've got to fight with the DUO2 so Tuner A & B only work with the fixed 28.2E dish and Tuner C plays with the motorised dish.
Want to thank you all for the help and advise.

Great stuff. Dark Motor is much faster than HH120 so not surprised that the tuner gets hot - which isn't a good thing.

How's the speed on HH120? Maybe the design changed since 2005?!

Good work with the install.............the Stab has looked after me for many many years with the 1.2m attached..............not the fastest mover and not the cheapest but it runs almost silently........well worth the money.

Hope you get the same satisfaction from it.

Best wishes. respect-048.gif

Nice pics - and intersting to follow the install.
So I am sorry to be a pest, but could you perhaps in future postings be persuaded to upload the picture to this website rather than some external thing and then referencing?
Thanks

You mean Supersport? Still broadcasting as part of Multichoice in Africa. And Sky sometimes uses its feed on its own sport channels complete with logos...

I think it was called screensport, back when Sky was on 19.2E, used to also show 10 pin bowling, and other sports.

Put it this way you have plenty of time to make a brew.
Upside no risk of a tuner melt down.

Ah, my mistake! Never seen this as it closed down before I even set foot in the UK, let alone have a satellite system (Oct '93).

I think it was on bsb in the early 90s remember watching the rallying on it.

Stab motors never liked them had one and it used to stop n start like the motor was stuttering when it was moving. this was on a vantage receiver, technomate receivers worked fine though.
