On other receivers yes, on Octagon no, the tuner is MIS capable!

That could happen if the lamedb file is not edited correctly. You can easily use Dreamboxedit instead to edit lamedb from there. This will work flawlessly. In fact SF4008 as it uses an internal tuner is the fastest Zeonbud player, the zapping is seamless. If only coders would implement the T2-MI decapsulation inside the Enigma2 core we would all be happier...

Hi guys.I use openATV 6.0.Im going mad.:DI tried several times...
There's nothing you can do.I use vhannibal settings(motor vs) on my Octagon.
I followed this guide step by step:

Sat Dream Gr - Satellite Support Forum

I find this in etc
after installation of vhannibal settings:

2nj96o1.jpg

What should i do?I edit lamedb

without vhannibal settings is all ok.(original settings openATV 6.0)
With vhannibal settings the zeonbud channels don't work!( i see on my box n/a ,n/a,n/a 12188,12188 and 12341)

Hw can i fix it?THX in advance

* I add the entries to lamedb but no chance to save it...every time lamedb file returns like the original one.

New receiver out - U2C Densys - which supports TI2-MI and multistream natively. There's a lot of talk on Russian forums about this starting here but here's the all important video.

Good thing or bad? Don't know. I see it as the start of the end where they'll start encrypting everything in Roscrypt (or similar), which will become out of reach to anyone....

Something is suspicious with these videos....
T2-MI direct reception IS possible in E2. The development simply stopped to the streaming solution, as new major changes are required in the E2 code and a decapsulator that will run as a permanent E2 process. Enigma2 needs further to be patched for T2-MI to support pid input and PLP id input.
Now, this STB looks nice but there's a gap. Where are the parameters? OK, with T2-MI I can see an auto setting and a closed source software with stored parameters (PLP ID, pid etc), these are not that complex and could be discovered quickly.
However with Multistream the situation is vastly different. I didn't see any selection for IS ID and PLS mode/code. These are vastly required and cannot be blindscanned on the go. Unless they are stored in the software as well, meaning for every new mux the manufacturer must release an update.
@Captain Jack
I wouldn't worry so much about encryption, you see T2-MI is for feeding the terrestrial transmitters, why engage an additional cost for decoders to feed some thousands transmitters throughout Russia?

There's a video for multistream as well:-

There's a lot of talk on the forums there. Originally, the Zeonbud channels were scanning in but the ones on 40e/53e etc. were not... After a few people uploaded .ts streams for the developers, they released the new software, which *did* scan them in (as per video), though, like you say, it's not clear with PIDs are hard coded at 4096 or it somehow searches it out...

I am still very happy with TI2-MI on my Solo2 with astra-sm - it works well, despite the initial leg work required.

With regards to encryption, they are already encrypting Pervyi Kanal in Roscrypt in those packages, so I don't expect it to be too difficult to expand it to other channels. But that's just my paranoia!

hello
I can confirm other receivers are able to show multistream channels without any insertion of pls code or stream id
e.g. open sx 1
I think it's chinese but it has made for ukraine market (and it costs just 13 $)
best regards

If the firmware has a list of stored PLS modes and codes combinations, then yes it is possible to download a multistream mux without inserting these parameters manually. However for every new mux and every change a new firmware must be flashed in the box. These automatic solutions don't do the magic they want you to think they do. Otherwise DXers would not spend hours blindscanning a specific frequency for a code if it was that easy...
I wrote that somewhere else too. People really need to understand how PL scrambling works, there is absolutely no automatic solution for these streams.

Dears,
New TPs on 40 east, a lot of Russia 1.
NOW I can say that the firmware has NO list of stored PLS modes and codes combinations, so it can find any new t2-mi without new firmware.

The only drawbacks are not very performing tuner, and problems with DD+ and subtitles.
The rest is ok, very soon even Oscam...

;)

Ciao

Most Rossiya 1/GTRK transponders on 40e aren't TI2-MI but plain old mpeg2 encrypted in BISS.

I am not home to test it on a "normal" receiver but a lot of transponders in the screen shots are ancient... Despite the fact that the poster says they don't scan in without "ti2" option ticked.

Is it only me, or you still have not understood the difference between PLS scrambling and T2-Mi?
T2-MI is easier to implement, all the firmware has to do is scan pids 4096 and 8192 and discover the PLPs, nothing more! So what does PLS scrambling has to do with all that? You still have them all so confused in your mind it seems!

Dear,
I am only interested in t2-mi for Russian language, so the fact that the current firmware is ok with future changes in frequencies is a good news.

Then, I leave technicalities to technicians...

Grazie

What you do is your business, but you cannot compare things that are inaccurate. You wrote that this receiver can receive PLS without stored values which is not true. T2-MI is another story, neither it was implied that this Denys STB could not handle T2-MI. Simple as that. So if you are interested in T2-MI only it's fine, good for you!
