As I thought mate. You must be using Advanced Mode. In this mode the default settings are simply common settings and are not meant to be for any particular card. If you need a sly uk config then use simple mode and select sly uk from the Use Preset box and everything will be correct.

The reason for the unpairing of your card is ecm flooding from newcs via the n lines, the best way to stop it is dont use n lines, just use the c lines from cccam.

Sorry I do not quiet understand, I thought CCcam needs the N line to be able to connect to NewCs.

I have now rewritten my xml and config with the help of the Newcs creator.
Using the xml with the changs tho phoenix did not work, but I changed setting in my file and it seems to be working again.

On the client side EMM on or off?


Will my setting now work without ECM flooding and with no more freezes?

You MUST have at least one N line to access your NewCS server.
What darrenob is referring to is passing out N lines to peers to give them direct access to your card in NewCS as apose to giving out C lines which will see your card at 2 hops.

As for ECM flooding causing unpairing, I disagree. Up until just recently I had over 20 clients on N lines and my 0963 is flawless.
I think the unpairing is more to do with not updating the card in the sly box before the entitlements run out.

If you made that config with my util then you used Advanced mode. If you simply want to use the card in your DM then use Simple Mode and select Sly UK from the Use Presets box.

Lol, I edited my post too. Your CCcam entry is totally wrong mate. I've never seen such a line.

Just use the config creator tutorial and it will work first time !

Hi, I need to make my CCam line like that for my receiver.
Using the line your app creates does not work.
Here info from the config:

It works I can watch cahnnels everytning shows up in console, but have restarts and ecm flooding

Could you please double check?

Sorry, but I had only posted my newcs.xml - like many others had done before - no cam logs or anything like that.

Was hoping someone could check and tell me where the problem is.

Now my xml has vanished and I got:

cam logs removed - admin


Why?

There were no logs, I do not do sharing.

Simply want to get to get my card work

TomDigital, if you're not using a Dreambox I can't help much mate sorry.

The newcs on my box is exactly the same as on Dreambox, therefore even though it is not a Dreambox - as for NewCS and CCcam it is moreless the same.
I am simply using VDR-SC which has CCcam built in - that is why the line looks so strange.

I have been running the card in an Omnikey on 7025 and it kept failing after a while, requiring a reader reset. Just been talking to a guy on MSN and he says the twin tuners dont like the new card, it is better in a 600/800/500. Something about interference by the twin tuners.

I can't see how anything to do with tuners can have any bearing on what the card is doing. I wouldn't take to much notice of that at all if I were you.

Well I moved it to a Dm800 and now it is reliable for longer than it ever was on the 7025. The interference is because of bus interference and possible scsi interference(which is where the tuners are). I will see how it goes over the next while. I previously used the DM600 and it was reliable. When I installed the Omnikey reader I did it on the 7025 and that was not reliable, so maybe there is some truth in what he says. I will see how it goes from here.

To establish if there is a pattern here:
Can anybody running an Omnikey or the internal reader on a 7025 report their experience on this thread please - good or bad - please state whether you have an external or internal reader.

Hi shumifan, I'm using an external omnikey reader with twin tuners, both on 28.2 fixed (no motor dont know if that makes a difference), currently using the latest pli jade image and I must admit that my box is now the most stable its been for a long while. Very low ecm values, reads my card perfectly (i have added the prio file) other box is still on a blue card.

If there are any tests you want me to do please do not hesitate to ask, It would be nice to be able to help you for once not as usual the other way around

Well it has been up for 12 hours on the DM800 with an external Omnikey reader and no problems whatsoever. It never survived this long on my DM7025.

Guys, at some point over the weekend I'll install a spare omnikey on my DM7025. When its up I'll move my NewCS server to the DM7025 for a while and see how it performs.

In order to use the card on wan do i have to have 2 different port numbers open one with CCcam which is 12000 and another for newcs, because the problem i have is i dont seem to have any other ports open when i use the web site can you see me or is there another default port number to use?

Quick answer, NO. You only only need 1 port open to your WAN.

If you're using N lines then you need to open the port you chose in the newcamd_port parameter in newcs.xml

If you're using C lines then you need to open the port you chose in the SERVER LISTEN PORT parameter in CCcam.cfg (default = 12000)
