Are they paired to a specific box (i.e., is a boxkey needed and if so, do they have to be activated in an approved box)?
Will they be affected by the card change which is rumored to be in progress and which is supposed to affect only
older cards?
The cards are not paired as such, although they do need an AESKey to decode the channels. Usually when this changes it isn't too long before the new one is known.
These cards will not be affected by the immenent card change. They will continue to work their full life span of 4 years once activated. The new cards will slowly replace the older Via 3 & 4 cards over the next 4 years.
At the moment as far as i am aware this card can now only be run on linux boxes in OSCam using its internal emu DVBapi, in the original TNTSat box or in Cristor Atlas - E receivers.
TNTSat have changed the ECM length so most emus cannot decode the card. Can't really see the point for a card that costs £10 a year, it seems pretty pointless if you ask me.
It shouldn't be long before other emus can decode it again as these cards are very popular in the French speaking African countries, so demand should dictate a fairly swift return (Hopefully)
