Advice Needed Two dish placement

Hi again, we re-positioned the stand alone mount, for the 1.2 meter dish further east and cleared 34.5 west, that's the polarmount's limit for the west side of the arc. Also, cleared 70 east and polarmount did 75 east with room for a little more. I calculated 58 degrees on each side, so total 116 degrees arc coverage. One of the anchor screws needs some cement or adhesive coz' of looseness of the cemented rooftop. And lastly vbox2 & actuator were taken to be checked, for the er2 error not counting pulses

There is still some blockage from tall tree, now at 5 & 7 & 8 west.

For that breakage, I would suggest an epoxy-loaded grout (if you can get some) - sticks like sh1t to a blanket!

If you can't get that, then add a decent amount of PVA liquid to the cement as that should stick nearly as well.

OTOH, before doing anything, I think you should try to take a close look through the breakage to see what caused it in the first place as there might damage to the roofing (??) underneath - in which case, that might get worse over time due to the extra weight of the dish and mount on it. If that looks possible, then move the whole setup somewhere else!

I'm planning on fixing the whole roof in the future, breaking off all the loose cemented areas, re-cementing them and pouring sealer on top. The cause is the balcony steel rods rusted and expanding

When you do that. I'd still add the PVA liquid as it also acts to "waterproof" the cement - so should be a "double win".

And you'll probably need to replace the rusted steel reinforcing rods and join them to what's left of the "still-solid" existing ones - might need to welded, and then given coat of rust-prevention treatment to stop the same thing happening again.

Update: Vbox2 was tested on another motorized system and still gives er2 error, so sent it back to supplier, i'm waiting for the outcome.

Hi, vbox was replaced and is now counting pulses, moves steps, moves continuously and stores positions! Also, reed switch on actuator was slightly adjusted. We broke off the loose concrete on the roof, re-mounted the stand-alone mount, and now is ready for cementing and anti-rust on the steel rods. Still need to test positioner with receiver, to see how that works
