VRS - Splats

360Radar update from Phil Lee on the FB page

UPDATE: there is no update so I'm assuming that the server has died. It's all backed up so as soon as the hardware is replaced and provisioned I'll set it back up again. Until then I'm afraid we're without MLATs. Hopefully it'll be back and running for Monday.
The MLAT-Server is down at present and is likely to be down for some time today as the hard disk array has possibly failed.
Two technicians have been dispatched to investigate why it's gone down as it's not responding to external commands at all.
If it's failed completely then I'll have to rebuild it from a back up but I'm awaiting an update from the hosting company.
In the meantime, to check on the status, go here:

the page will automagically update every minute.

A splat map today with the colinear back up on the mast since my LNA failure.

A little higher above the roof now, but with a direct feed from the antenna rather than with a preamp,

I'll be adding a new LNA4All at the masthead next week, then maybe replace with an Uptronics preamp later.

Just received my Uputronics preamp; about a 30% increase in traffic now, compared to just the cable.

Fittred at entrance of cable through wall, about two metres run to RPi. Would've liked to have it at the masthead, but I don't think this model is suitable for external use.

I wasn't aware of that, thanks. Will most likely pop it up the mast sometime.

A tad expensive; maybe I could fabricate an enclosure from stuff I have lying around...
