Agreed, thanks for sharing & very nice indeed tell your mate. Nice to see good quality connectors being used as well.
Keep us informed with your Ka activities chap.

Actually I find UK suppliers to be quite poor for the non-standard sat stuff so I get most of it from Germany, always quick to deliver and never any hassle.

The Cahors dish I got from Belgium as it was about 70 quid cheaper that the only retailer in the UK who stocked it.

20250 also for KA band C on XMW
19250 for SMW KA C
20250 for SMW KA D
18250 for ORBITAL KA Band B

WoW, that's some KA band LNB collection, thanks for posting could be very useful if it can be incorporated into E2.

@maybecrazy have you tried playing with c-band?

I did when I first moved into this house about 20 years ago, I had a 2.4m 4 segment mesh dish mounted at ground level but then there were no trees, can't remember much about it tbh but i'm pretty sure it was the analogue days and the dish was a nightmare to align.

What's it like these days, are the C band LNBs any smaller ? I had that c/ku co-rotor thing.

Must search the forum and have a look at your setups.

Quite agree, i use Germany, South Korea, Japan, China, Australia, USA to mention a few, you just can't easily get the non-standard stuff from over here.

C-band lnb's are still a fair size compared to a standard lnb.

No analogue left now.

G'day folks

It's raining here so I guess it's no point in looking for any KA today.

Is the Avanti stuff on 31e still there as I looked last night and not a sniff.

Is it these channels with circular polarisation ?

FlySat Hylas 2 @ 31° East

I've seen mentioned on the forum all band KA LNBs that are mega expensive, just how expensive are they ?

I wonder if I could be tempted :)

Most ka band lnbs start second hand from about £100 ish up to £500+ taxes and shipping.

I don't think the 31°E mux is going, but not looked in a very long time.

The 31°E is circular polarisation 19ghz.

All I ever found in this band was data.

Good luck with the ka hunt.

... you might need to sit down
They can be expensive and they can be cheap. Ex Hughes satellite internet 18GHz lnb's that some of us use for the 18GHz Newsnet feeds on 19°E can be picked up off the bay from anywhere around £50 or so if your lucky to spot one --- they are a rarity these days.
The pucka Pro ones from Norsat or XMW in South Korea can be anywhere from £365 upwards depending on spec. So the Inverto Ka/Ku is an exceptional good buy for the price and also a good performer especially on the dedicated Ka port. I have an band D - XMW DRO lnb that cost me around £370 delivered from South Korea but the Inverto performs just a wee tad better.
The SMW brand type are even higher in price.
A cheaper route to 18GHz and higher, if you want to look at the NewsNet feeds is to look at the forum thread relating to "SL3 DirecTv " -- The DirecTV SL3K4NR1-03

The direct TV lnb is a very good all rounder, covers 2 ka bands (with BBC) horizontal and vertical as well as left and right circular.

The BBC needs modding, the BBC is a l.o. For the 18ghz band.

Could you explain "BBC" and "the BBC is a l.o"
