4K TVs - your recomendations ?

Ok ..Now I know I can reset the TV (basically a factoty reset) ..I'm happier to try some other features..
When I press the Home button on the remote ..it brings up the web os ..along the bottom of the screen ..
Netflix Now BBC iplayer etc ...and of course Web browser ..
From there I can navigate easily to Youtube ..on account I have a wireless keyboard/trackpad attached..
What I am surprised by is that there is no direct route to Youtube from the WEBOS ?
Why is this ?
Have LG dropped support ?
Anyone ?

Bloody ridiculous imo ...as it isn't technically impossible ..
you can afterall get there through the browser..
Petty is all I can conclude...
You spend all that dosh ..and they shaft you ..
as is the norm.

Thank Higgs I can use 3rd party stuff ..
The QNAP server or The HiMedia Q10.
But certainly less convenient..

Managed to do a temp hookup of the sky minidish 28.2 E
..and found my way into the manual setup menu.
It is counter intuitive and well buried ? ..but still ..
There appear to be options for a diseqc switch ...as well as driving a usals motor ?
Is the TV/Tuner up to such a current load ..?
Is anyone driving a motor directly from an LG smart TV ?
...anyway ..
managed to add the Astra 4k demo at 12441V (29500)
..and appears to be playing just fine.

YouTube will only disappear on older models from what I can see, use your smart remote to access it, manual scan is a bit of a mess around but at the end of the day its not a tbs card, ive not and wont be using a motor on mine, cant help sorry

I attached a photo ..and youtube is missing from the Tiles along the bottom of the screen ?...so I am I bit confused about this.
Do remember this is the first Smart TV I have owned so takes a bit of getting used to..

This is an image from the web ..of how I thought it should look ??

Put the normal remote back in the box and use the smart remote, its called a smart remote for a reason :), ive just done a small video to get to youtube, as long as you can talk its as easy as this :)

So what you are saying is ...the option to activate youtube is no longer available on an OS tile by clicking ..
You _have_ to use voice activation ?
..which I still have not activated.

They only supplied the Magic remote btw ..
No other remote in the box..
 
I've got a LG43UH661V and I had to manually add Youtube, it's in the premium section of the content store.
 
What I am saying the easiest way to use the remote is by using the smart option, they might be a way to customise the tiles, but talking to the remote does the job

Yep ..just tried it Blade..
..and it does indeed get me to youtube..
But ..it may just be my age showing..but I feel so bloody foolish shouting at a remote..
lol
 
The worst bit will be when the Remote shouts back at you. 'cos that's what'll 'appen.

I do that :D and I don't have a magic remote, especially when it fails to do the command I have just pressed.

Went looking for a clip of the Lovell Telescope ..hoping to find one in 3D ..
Naaa ...lucked out so far ...
doh!
Cant believe no one ever did this..

In old LG 4K (UHD), 2 years, only has DiSEqC support for 4 satellites.
I did not think to look at the new ones that friends have.

In the tests, I use the loop output of the receiver to signal the TV, also a splitter other times.

En LG 4K (UHD) viejo (2 años), solo tiene soporte DiSEqC para 4 satelites.
No se me ocurrio mirar en los nuevos que tienen los amigos.

En las pruebas, uso la salida loop del receptor para dar señal a la TV, tambien un splitter otras veces.
