I order a Moteck DIGIPOWER SG 2100 A DiSEqC Motor from Amazon and for my surprised and astonishment they sent one from a company call HD Line as you can see below in the photo.
My question is :
1. Has anybody heard or had one of those before? Is it reliable as Moteck is ?
2. TMC - SAT which probably supply Amazon, said " there are more sellers on one advertisement ", I wonder what does it mean if you see the information, pictures, maker , etc... you will expect to received what you bought not a similar to replace your order.
3. They said I have to send it back in order to be refunded , so any other alternative for me to go further to make them to collect it in my place and consequently make a refund? Why has to be the person who has been misled by a advertisement/company.

As per PM, there are lots of different badges used for the Moteck SG 2100 and I shouldn't be at all concerned.

It's the same Motor with an alias!

The seller images in Amazon website are misleading because they show the Moteck logo printed.
They have no right to ship an alternative, even if they think it the same or better.
Do you see the Moteck logo on the item?
I had to send back few items to Amazon (US, DE, FR) and I had no other alternative but to take the item to the nearest post office. Not a big deal really.

Thanks for your replying.
I will probably do that. Is the only alternative but I will make sure that product on the pictures at Amazon.UK, showing a Moteck SG 2100 is fake and misleading consumers.
Cheers

It's not a fake .... just a rebadge. There are loads of variants, yet they're still an SG2100.

My spare motor is badged Fortec Turner, yet it's exactly the same (not a fake) as my Moteck badged SG2100.

Exactamento.

There is no real problem here.

You've got an SG2100 at a decent price. It undoubtedly rolled off the same Production Line as one actually badged Moteck.

Personally, I'd be happy with it and see no point in doing anything other than getting on and using it.

Also, as Lazarus mentioned above, it probably will do the job but I have asked for some advice on the motor for my new dish and I chose this one for the good reviews from some of you and it was a reasonable price.
Therefore, I need another alternative , which one could you guys suggest?
Many Thanks

The exact one you've got.

Keep it.

Use it.

Be happy!

It's a Moteck :)

I'm not trying to beat you into submission! :D

The question started as a PM to me and @Analoguesat but, having given my answer, I suggested the OP posted on Forum for other views.

I think he'd be best advised to await a couple more opinions before deciding.

Same here. There's an error on the forum...
But from the thumbnail, the box looks strikingly like the motor I bought very cheaply for fooling around with a few months ago.
Did OP upload, or is he redirecting to something out-of-reach?

Classic piece of bad advertising on the box....the motor has nothing to do with 4K and they put a PF dish as an illustration..:-doh

Isnt that just a euphamism for lying?
Or do we prefer telling porkies?
At best it is misdirection

The Amazon advert mentions 'a piece of cake', did this not arrive with the motor ?

It looks like the Technomate badged actuators of a few years ago to me, nothing wrong with them. If it works out of the box then why kick up a fuss ?

Another well known brand is STAB, but I think it is more expensive than what you paid.
What is the size of your dish?
