Like I said, I'd try using a smaller dih, the 180 cm Channel Master offset to be precise. Reception of course was notably weaker, but eventually after much trying in vain I did capture two frequencies above 3700. To be precise: 3740 V (TV KBR, now broadcasting Mir24) and 3743 V (ORT). Both just barely OK with the ChannelMaster dish. Other channels just wouldn't be scanned from the transponder list no matter what I did.
However, when switching back to the 3 Mtr Unimesh I noticed that these two channels were a LOT more powerful and stable with this larger dish. Understabable, but then of course the question is if this receiver must be returned. Apparently it has a far too high treshold when it comes to scanning T2-MI streams from a transponder even though the signal is strong enough. Does anyone recognize this conclusion?
By the way, when scanning from an existing transponder (found via blindscan and verified to have correct data via Lyngsat) the menu doesn't give the option that asks if you want to scan a stream, probably because you already made that choice when blindscanning, but it does ask if you want a NIT-search. But one doen't see any difference in the results.
Another perhaps important thing: I see that some transponders with streams are somehow found thrice, I'll attach a picture (sorry for the lightfall through the closed curtains). Note at the left KBR and ORT each "found" 3 times and at the right the set of 4 radio stations from 3676 V which also got listed three times when the scan in Auto Modus was carried out.
I'm afraid that there's not much I can do other than a factory reset before turning it back in? I did update the software to the latest (.60), perhaps I should also return it to the one-before-last software it came with?
Upps, I just see that I'll have to reduce the pic in order to put it here, need to first look for an image reducer for my PC so perhaps I'll ask you to take my word on it :-)
