The timer facility doesn't work . Also after channel flicking . Box locks up and black screens on all channelsFor me with the 'extras' the Combo can do, plus 4K and price...no contest!
All we can do is wait for fixes. I don't think any box will be perfect...The timer facility doesn't work . Also after channel flicking . Box locks up and black screens on all channels
Meanwhile......just waiting on an in-depth review of the GT Combo so comparisons with other receivers can be made.Satspot has the perfect tm5402-M4 though

Much better luck receiving a 4:2:2 signal this afternoon on 10E 11438H s/r=15000. By the way I'm open to offers on that second box. PM me if interested.
4.2.2 and 4K for a start...can the TM do those?Meanwhile......just waiting on an in-depth review of the GT Combo so comparisons with other receivers can be made.
Not that I’m aware of. Don’t have a 4K TV to enjoy that experience either. 4.2.2 definitely not.4.2.2 and 4K for a start...can the TM do those?
Well it's never going to handle 4.2.2 perfectly I wouldn't have thought, unless you lash out 3K for a professional receiver..but for the hobbyist, it's ideal..Not that I’m aware of. Don’t have a 4K TV to enjoy that experience either. 4.2.2 definitely not.
I’m quite aware what the GT can do according to the manufacturers claims. It’s how it handles those claims in real time that interests me.
at least you get to see the feed now, so rather than a black screen, you have some idea of what the feed is, so if you really wanted to watch it, you could record it, and stream to VLC......Well it's never going to handle 4.2.2 perfectly I wouldn't have thought, unless you lash out 3K for a professional receiver..but for the hobbyist, it's ideal..
I've had mixed results with 4:2:2 signals. Some work perfectly and an Italian football feed this evening completely failed. The HDMI output seems stuck on UHD 60hz. Or is there a hidden menu to set the video output standard?By "much better luck receiving a 4:2:2 signal", do you mean in terms of signal strength or the receiver did a much better encoding the 4:2:2 video?
Thank you

'Settings' > 'Droid Settings' > 'Display' > 'Screen Resolution' - take your pick from the list.
That’s one problem resolved. What’s the 4.2.2 picture output look like now. Thanks John. Success. I'll leave you alone now!!
If it assists anyone the ZGemma H9S resolves Multistream channels without issue, including Rai 1 HD on 11016H.Is that what you’re looking for on 5w.
have you noticed that the SES UHD channels on 19e are dulled in colour - immediately after switching to them, you can see for a second, how bright and vibrant they SHOULD be, but then, as quick as a flash, they change to to like a misty dull appearance...
