I hear from Lyngsat that 18634L has returnedThe mux on 18634L has gone.
water level? in the Bosporus??Unblocking is not possible today on line 18633 L. The water level is sufficient.
so,what is this "water level"?water level? in the Bosporus??
this is the KA-Band TopicAround 60 new channels received here on the west beam, 80cm dish
what can you hope to receive on Ka frequencies from Turkey?Yes, but having the new transponders in the receiver will pinpoint 4A for those after the Ka frequencies, which is included in the Lyngsat link, otherwise it is rather hit and miss to find it/them.
I have a Viasat Ka compliant reflector here, older spec parabolics may suffer despite the Ku stuff coming in clearly.
12226V 27500 is markedly stronger in this region btw.
i noticed the same. The Russian bunch has a slight difference with the TRT public tv bunch.Oddly, peaking the dish to get the weaker transponder (here) 11996V for Freedom TV, means the signal is lost on 11825V (Turkmeneli HD) , despite both apparently on 4A
Really anything now the 3m reflector is assembled, I am working on the feed assembly to enable different LNB capability from the Ku band. Since the focal point is just behind the reflector it should be a case of a linear gear drive (rack and pinion in old money) and I have an old pillar drill with just the right characteristics.what can you hope to receive on Ka frequencies from Turkey?

Whilst I have already got the Ka adapter on the rack, the C band mechanical stuff is going to be awkward clearing the El/Az mounting. I had contemplated fitting it in the centre of the subreflector where there is already a shadow, no scalar feed ala Prodelin 3.7 prime focus stuff but unsure how much loss from the drilling out.Look forward to progress on this CH, the rear lnb changer system adopted should work very well
