For the hell of it. Budget about £100. Should do some damage for that amount of buck! Hey Hairybadger! Yes, I'm hooked, I admit it. But I have no plans to go bigger....just yet! LOL!

Stop that! No, I'm just happy to be scanning the skies. BTW, how many channels can the Skybox store? How good are they?

I presume your scanning the $ channels tony ?, if so there will be an option to just scan fta,
the skybox f3 is a good box for the money and I think it will give you the space for 10.000 channels, but I would not go for the skybox f3s atm as mine does not move the dish correctly,
its not a problem to me as I use another box to drive the motor.

5k, I think.

Enough, anyway - especially if you weed out carp, Radio etc.

Even when I set my Medion box to scan FTA only, it still put $ channels in.

We discussed this in the Skybox Forum and mine drives the 80cm no problem but struggles with H targets on the 1.1m: The answer is simply to select a V Channel. No need for a Positioner via another box.

we have spoke about this tivu but I did not get the chance to explain what it was doing, if I send it to 45e it goes to 42e tivu or some where in between, and yes my setting are correct :-)

Ah, right: Well that is odd. The issue I have is with reluctance to actually get moving at all (Not dissimilar to me getting up in the morning - needs a good kick!)

Still favour that Technomate Tm 5200D! Good price, too. Just found out the Medion box stores 3200 channels....oh dear!

..No point in putting in my 10 cents (yep gone american for a while)..most here would know what I'd recommend ..though don't know how good the successor is ?
It may me a bit limited channel storage wise ..but you gotta lurv that tuner for DXing.
