Yes you can but apparently the remote control part Is slow to respond and In an ideal world you would need a sling box connected to a freesat or freeview dvr to series record etc and then a good media player to connect to your tv abroad and again the remote control is not great as you would need to use another device like a wireless mouse or something ! Very messy !

If you could just have a normal dvr with a normal remote control under your normal tv then It would be much easier ! + you would have the benefit of streaming to tablets etc in other rooms as a bonus!
I have a Slingbox connected to a Humax HDR in the UK and a SlingCatcher connected to the TV in Lanzarote. The SlingCatcher has its own remote which controls the HDR. The delay is about 7 seconds.

Also, as an added advantage, you can watch the HDR's embedded iPlayer and ITVPlayer via Sling.

Unfortunately they don't make SlingCatchers any more but I believe WD makes something similar that includes the SlingPlayer app.

Is this ATOS the French IT company that is in charge of kicking people off the sick?

Yep, a sub-division of! After the BBC privatised their Digital Ops division to Siemens, they ran it for about 12yrs and since sold it on to ATOS. The 2D/1N uplink was at BBC Television Centre but has since moved to a new location just outside the M25 close to Slough I believe.

There's Arqiva's Chalfont Grove uplink station just near my house in Bucks but not sure if that is who you are referring to. Can't think of anything else near Slough.

There's a new site ATOS had built with new uplink antennas as TVC is being decommissioned now.

Chalfont is one of Arqiva's uplinks, there's one at Bedford too. They also have some at Winchester where ITV and C4's are.

same signal up becon 10960 v,h
Have the graphics very clean in tp 10960V / H, Madrid is impossible to see anything, I'll let the charts.

Look at the graph 10960V, have active C-band TP36 11008.5Mhz (11007.6V), the parser does not identify the network when attempting to view valid data, switch to analog mode DVB.

As already stated, 11023H, 11068V & 11097V (2F) do not suffer from this effect. These transponders have identical parameters to 10847V & 10935V (2E). If the receiver were responsible it would show on all these transponders.

This graph shows the difference between QPSK & 8PSK transponders on both satellites. Notice the effect is far greater on 2E so is obviously nothing to do with the tuner
In the analyzer are 2 tp with the same level / same.
En el analizador no hay 2 tp con el mismo nivel/iguales.

Transponders that use to the graph.?
Que transponders utilizas para la grafica.?

Yes I am tempted to try something like that ! I did read that you can buy two monsoon vulcano boxes (One at each end) which is like the slingcatcher apparently but Its going to be expensive If you include the two units and a new freeview dvr etc! I suppose the combination of the online tv catchup services and the normal stream services do the job, albeit with lots of hassle !

Lyngsat seems to have forgotten about 11778V. It's not listed on any satellite at 28.2E. (It should of course be on 2E PE.)

When streaming "catchup" via the UK box you are, of course, downstreaming into the box and then upstreaming via Sling using the same UK Internet connection and the two do have an influence on each other. But it works OK for me. My real limitation is at the Lanzarote end which only has a 1M fixed connection.

It's less of an issue if you have fibre internet (eg BT Infinity) as you usually get a decent upload as well as download speed. Standard ADSL and Virgin Media is pretty restricted in the upload.

I was able to get an engineer at O2 to fiddle with the settings at the exchange and sacrifice some of my download speed to raise my upload speed from its theoretical 1.5Mbps to 2.5Mbps. I get a regular actual 1.8 - 2Mbps upload speed now.

But that's due to change in a couple of days time as Sky slowly get around to digesting all of O2's former customers. I have had long discussions with Sky sales droids about this when they phone me up with some fatuous offer about which I have no interest. The one thing I am interested in seems to stump them and all they can refer me to is the line checker which predicts I'll get about 1.3Mbps.

I'll have to wait for fibre now.
