MSNBC feed on W15

My Satellite Setup
fixed,polar mount and C band dish.
My Location
south africa
I watch the above feed carrying the Today Show in the afternoon in South Africa.I am using a 1.2M dish .The signal is extremely difficult to lock into.However,why i am writing is that the programme is not available every afternoon and i enquire the possible reason for this.
 
Msnbc used to be a permanent channel on Telstar 12 for years and it disappeared about 6 months ago. Previous tp info:

11708 V 3197

What is the tp info for this one?

they switched from 11.45 - 11.7 to 12.5 - 12.75 a while back although the older feeds at 11.526.H.3198 7/8 still pop up
 
The 3 feeds i receive are,
12508 3190 H
12521 3196 H
12517 3196 H
What baffles me is why the Today show is not available on some days.Any explanation?
 
I received the Today show yesterday on W15 12512H 3400.I noted that another news feed is operating on
the same frequency.The difference is the one is DAD 4 the other DAD 5 .
 
Apologies for digging up a semi old thread. Been trying to get these. Dreambox has found MSNBC, but as to any other NBC feed, absolutely nothing. Been scanning on and off for the past day or two and nothing. No primetime, no Today Show, nothing. Are these still active?
 
Just scanned the transponders again and 'DAD-4 Fiber TX-11' and 'DAD-5 Fiber TX-12' have now appeared! Both showing test cards. What shows what... Anyone know?

Just wild NBC feeds they use these transponders for recording at cable head ends for re-broadcast over MSNBC,NBC,AFN & VOA in Europe via sat & cable..

Nope, MSNBC International is used for Israeli HOT TV and SA's topTV package. The DADs are wildfeeds for news anchors when they're in Europe and Africa. They only carry programming because satops in NY are lazy and leave whatever they needed on for days afterwards.
 
Aha finally there's not a test card! DAD-5 is currently showing an empty NBC Nightly News studio.

Appears the DAD feeds have gone MIA. Any chance someone could do a blind scan to see if I'm missing anything!?

Edit: Scrap that. It's back.

This satellite has been a bit erratic for me lately with signals fluctuating. Probably an issue my end. I'll have to look into it.

I'm having the same issue. It goes anywhere from 15/16dB down to 9dB earlier this evening. It was just on 14dB but it's just gone again. Other TPs seem pretty solid and stable however.

Edit: It's back again... 12dB.

Another news(?) channel is now available on 12512 H 3400.
The Today show at 12.00 gmt seems to be permanent now.They use the same aforementioned frequency at the same time as the today show and perhaps a member can advise how that is done.
The original news channel operates on 12508 H 3190
 
My posting for the Today show should read 12.00 BST 11.00 GMT.

Today Show and Nightly News has been back on DAD-5 for a few weeks. It now seems DAD-4 is constantly showing CNBC US. MSNBC is still on 12508H.
