It has entered the Hohmann transfer orbit...

Thank you for that @Pietclock , reading up on that would appear to turn my earlier statement on its head- she is slowing down therefore the orbit altitude is reducing.

seems it will be ready for the switch on 19 June... to spot or not to spot...

Time 10:00 (UTC)
Normally I start at 10714H.- CL4 / 10729H E4, today I see that are not always where it was necessary to move the length -0'3º to position the antenna to 100%, it seems they are modifying other satellites for the arrival or leaving a little more site not pass braking at the last moment and a hint will be satellites.
img_a4979.gif

This change alters my references are jumping + 12 east where the satellite is about.
img_a4977.gif

Located the satellite, this is what I see.
Off the tp's 10700H-10770Mhz.H.
10980H beacons and are only intermittently.
In Horizontal Alta, the tp's remain active, 12480H analyzer does not identify, are data or DVB-S2.

Hora 10:00 (UTC)

Solo quedan balizas y 10980H intermitente.
En Horizontal Alta, los tp's continuan activos, 12480H el analizador no lo identifica, son datos o DVB-S2.

The epoch is still 9.6.15. We don't know where the satellite _really_ is right now. Until Astra publish their own TLE data

Off the tp's 10700H-10770Mhz.H.
Apagados los tp's 10700H-10770Mhz.H.

Here I cluelessness, you pull the photo and forget expand, remain active, then put pictures of this morning 8:40 (UTC).

Can we have a new thread now 2G is at 28E?

Has the eagle officially landed?

Given that its actual position lags behind the predicted position, probably not. But it's pretty close now.

I'll eave this open until we get the first confirmed report and then close the thread down.

Good hunting everyone!

Astra 2E +/- 28'15ºE
Astra 2G is 12 jumps further east.

How much is a jump ? Could it be that 2G goes to 28.5 to the position of the Eutelsat ?
Could you count the jumps between ie 28.2 and 19.2 ?
