Amos 2/3 @ 4W

11389 & 11315 coming in here with good signals on ny 100cm set up

What satellite is this?
The signal must be dropping off rapidly with location if "William-1" is picking up 11315 on a 1.0m dish and others with larger dishes cannot get a lock?

Are you sure those frequencies are coming from Amos @ 4.0W with your 1.0 metre dish and not another satellite?

I am getting 5.9db lock on 11389 and 5.2db no lock on 11315 using a 1.5m dish and I am relatively local to you. "Captain Jack" reports similar results to me using a 1.5m dish, ie, no lock on 11315 and low signal with lock on 11389.

Sorry I misread the post I thought we were still talking about 7 west :oops:

No chance of any signals here from 4 west ATM as we have torrential rain:(

From Cyprus i can receive the Yes Package but i can't the T-Home package

With 2.1m dish

I have a problem.I cannot receive ZIK TV 11609 V 3600 on 4 West.
I know that it is on 4 West Flysat says so .
The ZIK Web site says so.
I get it easily on 3 West.But not on 4 West.
The only way that I can get it on 4 West is to change the longtitude to a silly number.
My long is 1.5 w change it to 2.4 w I can get it.It looks like my system is acting up.
Can someone confirm that it is still on 4 West.I have my finger on the Embarresssed smiley waiting already.:)
HELAS Sat on 12570V is fine on 3 West 87%
All other channels on other sats are fine.

This transmission does have a tenancy to vanish here as well at certain times,
Good signals here atm with my 100cm dish set up:-

Thanks William.Still not getting it here on 4 West.Fine on 3 West.
10722H 27500, 10805H 30000 Are coming in fine on 4 West though only 60 %.
It just seems odd that I get ZIK TV on 3 west at 60 % but not a sniff on 4 west. Using 100cm and TD88.
It looks like being a fine day tomorrow.A good excuse to spend the day messing about with the dish.:)
 
From Cyprus with 3.4m dish i can get the 10722 H with 10.2dB (EIRP level:41dBW). But with the same dish i have at the 10722 Ver (EIRP level:53dBW) with 13.1 only......... Usually with this level i have around 18-20 dB (SNR). Something wrong is happening with this beam for Cyprus (Amos 2 Middle East)

ZIK TV is on according to FLYSAT 11610 HORIZONTAL 3600
An OK picture with the 1.2CM.

Not sure about 3west though???
 
It's the strongest signal on 4W for me, certainly on 4W as whenever I move the dish anywhere else, the signal drops.
 
I am getting ZIK TV with an SNR of 51% But if I tune towards 3W it increases to 60% so I presume it's more like to be on 3W.

Maybe I am not cracking after all.
Below is a scan that I did on 4 west early this morning.My longtitude in EBSPro is set at 1.6 West my true longtitude is 1.5 West.The usual bleed from 5 West are marked in red.Looking at the dB numbers from 5 West suggests that if anything my dish is leaning towards 5 West.No sign of 11610V on the scan.
Going to have a nice day sat on the shed roof Fine tuning the 100cm Dish. :)

Well, I do know that ZIK has been at this location and frequency for years - it can't be coming from 3W... Unless it somehow quietly moved to another satellite with exactly the same parameters? Seems unlikely.

I agree Captian.As I said earlier Flysat says that it is on 4 West I even checked the ZIK TV web site At zik.ua/tv they confirm that it is on 4 West.
I now have to find out why I cannot get it there. My Dish must be out a bit.
It is going to keep me busy today.:)

I get Amos2 11450-11700H frequencies at 3-3.5W position since is is blocked by 5W super beam in 4W position.
11600 and 11610 blocked by 5W 11591H30000 test carrier and whatever sr they use for opera feeds here.
 
Could that be my problem.I get some strong 5West transponders when scanning 4 West.
