from my experience the WET54G simply couldn't connect to the dreambox (no idea why really). The LED for the ethernet conenction just wouldn't turn on no matter how much I tweaked and adjusted.
In the end I went out and exchanged it for a WAP54G. That worked perfectly from the get go and there...
in the end i just gave up with that. there was a bigger problem with the bridges connection to the dreambox. even the guide posted in the wireless sticky uses an older version of the same bridge...
i went out and replaced it with a WAP54G and now everything is running smooth :D so happy...
just wondering how you got it to work?
i have a WET54G with the same dreambox and for some reason it just doesn't 'see' it. the ethernet LED is always off and the dreambox isn't recognising that a device is plugged in. any advice?!?!
@compufunk
the LEDs were just an indicator as to whether or not the dreambox's ethernet was engaged. a bit primitive granted but it gave me some results :P
i have noticed others with problems but those were mainly to do with setting up the device with their wireless network. that went fine for...
ok...here is a summary of the tests i've done based on a little ethernet LED i can see through the vents on the dreambox:
dreambox - router OK
dreambox - laptop OK
dreambox - linksys X
and in terms of general functionality:
linksys - laptop OK
linksys - router OK
so the ONLY problem seems to...
tried multiple cables that worked fine elsewhere! (sorry for gunning every idea down...i've exhausted many possibilities)

still no luck...it's quite frustrating. I connected the bridge to my macbook, disabled my airport connection and everything went smoothly. connected to the net and all. the problem seems to be from the dreambox's ethernet.
is there a particular setting i should be aware of? all i did was set it...
hi everyone,
recently bought a dreambox 500s and a linksys ethernet bridge (WET54G) to hook it up to my wireless network. I configured the bridge and made it 'see' my home wireless network.
so far so good...
the problem comes when hooking it up to the dreambox. I'm using a crossover ethernet...
