Yes it does, it's odd that throughput is fine off the pole though, got to keep trying.

Will do, the cabling checks out for continuity and voltage to the motor and to the lnb when the motor is inline but off the pole, I need to get up on my ladder at the weekend, can't quite reach the lnb from the window.

The only way now is to flash it using a serial connection using a null modem lead and dreamup software, the software will detect if the box is still alive first so you know you can upload an image

DVBDream works better with vista, you must put the viewer that came on the disc on first to install the correct drivers.

You will need to use a serial lead to connect to the dreambox and dream up software to re-flash the box, flash xp won't work now I'm afraid.
