@denis1501 yes well, scotsitalian - I entered the codice fiscale and client number but was put off by the legal pop up; Id hate for SKY Italia to realise I was using the card abroad. Am I being paranoid for no reason?

@denis1501 you are correct the default is 0000, this is our second sky italia box - I reckon the pin was changed with the first box. I have also tried 1111 to no joy. edit : double checked again with both, wont take them.

@Analoguesat Thanks, I had thought of this but could there be an issue with them noting my IP address from the UK? Id hate to have them disactivate the card for something so 'trivial'.

I recently brought over a SKY Italia HD MY Sky box and have been storing movies on the hard drive. I accessed the protect recording option and it asked for a pin to delete the recording. I tried the default 000, 1234 and the last four digits of the card to no avail. Is the only way to resolve...

Likewise mate. I also had it showing the EPL games on Saturday and the number flashed up around 15 times but no channels lost or cut out. Left it on Sky Sport 1 again all day, no issue. Pleasing!

Is it feasible or even possible that SKY Uk could send a signal to blitz SKY Italia cards? :confused: Just trying to figure out how this is happening...

Thanks for the reply dave1979, that confirms thats it not just my box being faulty. Sadly I was hoping SKY Italia would be long term for us. In fairness weve had it run fine for 4years so a good innings anyway. When you say 'playing up', are you having the same issue as me - SKY channels...

Point taken. I was just making a distinction between those who perhaps scan for SKY Italia channels with Humax boxes. I am fully aware its a grey area either way. I just expected my setup to be more reliable...

Okay brought it back by doing a manual reset of the box (switch off at mains). Least I dont have to constantly update. We als have a wireless sender attached to the box to send the picture upstairs - Ive a sneaking suspiscion (hope) that thats whats playing havoc and am going to stop using it...

Has anyone had any luck activating a Tivu Sat smartcard online while in the UK? Reason I ask is long term I will be getting my hands on a box (bought in Italy) and we have the codice fiscale and home address.

Since the update Ive not had the number flash up once :confused: In saying that as I said I rarely watch EPL. Will keep monitoring it but at the moment it looks like the update solved it. I am a bit miffed though that an official card would lose the channels like that.
