Thanks for reply Oily. Had given up on getting anything. Have now got my dm 800 but have not tried recording yet with the HDD. If it is as bad as you say suspect I will just go for the internal drive solution and just sell my Iomega.

Can anyone tell me if I can use my Iomega 500gb ext HDD via the DM 800 USB port to do the PVR recording or do I have to use an int/ext Sata:confused:

Thanks for replies guys. Not sure if I am getting this wrong Geoff but from what I can see on Satbeams, 12480v is FTV and would need a FTV Sky card to receive the channels. What I am looking for is channel 4 on a FTA frequency which according to Analoguesats link is no longer available

Going back over to my house in Greece in a few weeks time and was wondering if I will still be able to pick up a FTA channel 4. Have checked Satbeams and Lyngsat but cannot find anything other than 2D frequencies

I know this is an old thread but thought I would give an update on my horizontal frequency problem. Eventualy did as Analoguesat suggested and fitted an new Invacom 0.3 lnb and low and behold am now getting the signal on all polarities. Hope this info helps anyone else with a similar problem.

Thanks Robbo. Think my daughter is not too bothered about giving her daughter control of the box so will probably leave things as they are. On the general restrictions of sky boxes I always knew there was a reason why I never ever got one !!!!!!!!!!!
