Yes and no.
I do get more signal compared to other LNB's, this has been tested and proven by many members on various forums but, I also use an Inverto Black Ultra quad on another CM dish which I am equally happy with.
The Inverto, has received high praise from other members (Huevos) and is...
I do not have one at hand but if I recall, 3040661 is the serial number for the part number 611606007 CM feedhorn.
It would seem logical to print 611606007 on the feedhorn but they put the serial number instead.
The Feedhorn is designed to work with different LNB's which have slightly different screw configurations. If 4 screws align you will have a tight seal.
You do not need to use silicone, the O-ring is enough.
Silicone may help with the seal lasting longer, but if you do not have any to hand do...
It is easy to put together.
Just make sure the O-ring is seated probably and that there is a good tight seal between the Feedhorn and LNB., as you do not want any water getting in.
There are 8 holes , but only four should align correctly, so use 4 screws.
Here is a pic of one I put together...
Sorry to hear you have not yet received the Feedhorn.
I have not had any any problems and I have not heard of any bad reports about the company.
Maybe they did not have any in stock and have had to order one?
Let us know when you receive it.
I am not sure I understand your question 100%, but if you have a c120 invacom and a 1.8 prodelin, you should be using the correct CM feedhorn (Model: 611606007). This comes with 8 holes, but only 4 bolts are needed as only 4 holes can be aligned correctly.
The Andrews is in a different league.
The Laminas is not as good as the ASC/ChannelMaster, if you compare the gain figures.
They are probably trying to sell you this dish as they are cheaper and can make more money from the sale.
Do not waste your money on a Laminas for a fringe area dish...
The problem is without the precise location it is impossible to know what size is needed . In Cadiz you might need a 1.5m dish and Malaga you may only need a 1.2m dish. I suspect leespencer knows he needs a 1.5m dish hence his post.
Here is one company that I have purchased from before in...
I believe Tivù is correct he has a Quad.
It sounds like the original installation was done with 19.2 in mind, not 28.2.
I really recommend you re-think the whole cable install and forget what is already there. The cable in the house if you did not put it is probably poor quality anyway.
