As far as I know,OSE have never been used. I assume is one of the last resource to use when the system is compromised. They can do lots of updates over the air to their irds before they get to use it,I believe.

Yes,all keys are in eeprom.(removed in the public dumps) You can see right after $0541 tiers and keys starts. Also,some others at the end of eeprom $10Ax. Just dissasemble it and follow the code.

I'm one of those posting at that forum about powervu.Look in the fta section. I would advice to dust off your ird,and read the ISE chip,this will give you the provider keys. Chances are,you might not need to be authorized,as long as the keys still valid in your ird,unless the provider changed...

Let me add couple things about powervu. It is wrong to say it is only used by just a few channels in the arc. In the domestic sats in the american continent there might be around 1500 channels using powervu. Just check Lyngsat. I agree it is not for the end user,but commercial purposes.
