try putting the old sky+ back in if you still have it? see if you have similar problems, if so then, cable, connectors is mostly likely the problem, or borrow a box from a neighbour that you know is in good working condition. cheers Rich

you will have more problems getting a good installation with it, it will have to have a good feedhorn and lnb and setup with a spectrum analyser. i think parabolic.se may be able to give you advice on an installer, I don't think it will be cheap. people like 'old satellite' on this forum...

yes but only horizontal 2d reception. you'll need a professional installation though.

just get a v2 sky + box, it will outperform the dsb-30 quite easily. both the pace and amstrad version 2 is supposed to be very good. the v1 sky+ is ok, but not as good as the v2 remember you will need an lnb with dual-output to use sky+, so dont forget to buy that too. regards Richard...
