I have done this with an 80 cm channel master dish and a technomate 5500d with monoblock. No problem whatsoever. Now all I need to do is to patch the technomate....

My signal was low of late, so I went up the ladder tonight (BST is a blessing for this sort of job). Found that my dish had been blown off course and that water had penetrated the lnb - motor cable (not sealed properly). Removing the damp end solved the problem temporarily, but looks like a new...

I'm in Lancashire and last night my reception was lousy (especially on Eurobird) Wind gusts will blow the dish off and rain will further attenuate the signal. When the sun shines, reception will be fine.

The bit that you left 11.145/1450 (or whatever it was) is the important bit. That is the frequency and symbol rate of the transponder you are aimed at. If there is nothing on that channel, you may end up with no signal. In that case, try another channel. Check the frequency listings to ensure...
