I just though of one thing. Have you tried the null modem method using 'Dreamup'. I think it gives a cleaner download to the box. It takes longer but is more reliable than the net interface.

Hi there. I had exactly that problem sometime ago. It turned out that the power supply was on its way out. I got the power supply replaced by Dream Multimedia (for free) and not had the problem since. I also use the gemini image but your box isn't booting that far. Good luck.

Well after much more experimentation this is my conclusion. 1) The latest Gemini Image fixed the blue screen crash :-) 2) I managed to get access to the USB stick and its files. It needed mounting before media player could see it. Could not work out how to do that from the remote control...
