I had sky in Dahab before I moved to Cairo, You will need the biggest dish you can find, a 2.4 is the biggest that is allowed in Egypt. It's not easy and you won't get everything. Do you know if the dish is on the satellite? First thing first, Get a bigger dish.

A question,, I just got my self a Play Station 3, It can play BluRay DVD's. The cable supplied has a Hi Def connector at one end and RCA plugs at the other. Am I seeing Hi Def on the screen or do I need to get a cable with Hi Def plugs at both ends?

Jonny, You might have to be a bit sneaky when setting up you dish in Syria, I'm sure bring a big dish into the country will have it problems, it might be worth looking into or see what the local market is like, I would of thought 2.4 will be about the biggest you will be able to get there, it...

I have a box in Egypt and have done so for around 9 years now, I first set it up in Dahab with a 3.1 meter mesh dish, I then moved to Cairo and after about a year I changed to a 2.4 meter solid prime focus dish and got the same if not slightly better, so you should be O.K in Sharm with a 2.4...
