Thanks ROLFW,
I guess I should have started using it sooner. Still I suppose I can still use it for recording freeview, so it's not a complete waste.
Thanks again for your help.
Is it possible to get a quick start guide or a tutorial on cams & cards ?
This is a subject that I know almost nothing about, and would love to learn more.
Many Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer me.
I did buy one of these, although I have not yet taken it out of it's box.
Does anyone have any info on it for me?
I know that it has a hard disc and I know it needs 2 seperate feeds to guarantee that I can record 2 channels at once.
However, I'd like to get some feedback from someone who...
Thanks for the input, but is there another, less expensive solution ? - I really don't think that they'll be able to spring for all the new equipment.
I thought that the problem might be with the splitter. I was hoping that somebody else had previously resolved a similar problem.
I could use...
Hello.
I recently set up a second satellite dish for a relative. Their system then had 2 dishes & 1 receiver. All was ok up until this point.
They then decided to buy a second revceiver for their bedroom, so that they could enjoy all their newly acquired channels in two seperate rooms...
Hello.
Forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask this, but I guessed it should be in the Freeview section.
I have been watching advertisements for 4music on C4 for some time now, stating that it would launch on Freeview 18 (among others) on Friday 15th of August at 7:00p.m.
I have scanned...
Thanks VERY much again guys.
You've all been extremely helpful. :)
I've ordered a DiSEqC switch on e-bay, and am currently awaiting it's delivery.
I'll let you all know how it works out, once I've installed it.
Many thanks again. :-worship
By the way, can anybody tell me the correct pronunciation of "disecq" ?
Just don't want to look like a complete newbie in the hardware store.
Many thanks again.
Hooooooo - ray !!!!!
This is indeed great news ! :)
This seems like the perfect solution.
Thanks very much for all the help with this - gonna get me one of these gizmos tomorrow morning.
Sorry for my lack or understanding, but like the saying goes ... "A picture paints a thousand words."
Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong here, but isn't a DiesqC switch just a motorised contraption which turns a single dish on a pole - so that it can face towards a different satellite ?
I appreciate that it might seem odd, but the layout of neighbouring buildings and an annoying...
It does suport diseqc switching, but I'm not permitted to go down that route for this particular situation.
What I really need is to run the signals from 2 seperate dishes down a single cable, and into a single set top box.
I was considering using a co-axial joiner, but I'm not sure whether...
Hello
I was just wondering if anyone could help me out....
I'm trying to install a second dish but don't want to install a second cable.
Is it possible to run a small length of co-axial cable from both LNBs, and join them before they run on towards the decoder.
If anybody has completed a...
The TM 3000 series ?
Are you sure your not confusing that with the T-1000 ? :-rofl2
Just kidding ... thought it might be appropriate, considering your Avatar :)
On a serious note though, I may consider buying a second hand box, it might be worth it - even if i only use it once in a blue...
