Ok, I believe the box is fine, its just if you pull the plug out the box goes into some safe mode before letting you power it back on. Also I believe since I had local pxe/tftp server running, it was trying to boot off the network.

Just as a note I had a similar problem and the mistake I made was the I used DNS instead of IP address (which is ok to do) however my DNS returned the wrong address. So my advice would be to try everything with IP address first make sure its all ok then use DNS names etc..
