Ah, I guess that might be my problem then... I've telnet'd to the box and it appears to be running CCcam.211 and newcs.166 Can I just upload the CCcam 2.1.3 over the top of the 211, or would the config file need to be changed too?

Ah well I'm glad you told me that! I've not been running it for long like this, probably about 3 weeks. I keep having to change back to my SkyHD box to keep the missus happy until I have the Icecrypt running nicely. Perhaps that's why the card is still alive. So if I run CCcam 2.1.4, should...

Please can you give more details on this? Do you mean to say that you could use the Sly HD box in the same way you can use a Dreambox or the likes?... I would be very interested in this, given that I have a couple lying around and would love to put them back into use again.

But I'm going the other way... I have a CCcam server and wish to connect a newcamd client to it. Will that still work?

Ah in that case i'm not too worried. I only wanted to CS to the bedroom so the missus could watch seperate channels without paying the £10/month extra to Sky. TBH, we can live without it and just use freeview and RF feed for prem if we're in bed together. Thanks for the heads up though :)

Does that mean I wouldn't be able to use one non-Sky box with a legit card?.. My primary goal is to have a box that can record LOADS of content to a NAS box, and also allow playback of other files without extra equipment.
