    Channel 4

Just wanted to say thanks and bump this thread for anyone who, like me, was ready to go outside and chuck some bricks at their dish to see if Channel 4 turned up...

Manhattan Skyline 1000 FTA or Manhattan 5900?

A quick check of the Skyline 1000 manual shows a "Menu" button, directional keypad and "OK" button on the front of the receiver - so i'd assume you can do almost everything from those (http://www.manhattan-receivers.com/uploads/skyline1000manual.pdf). As for the Technomate, i have heard that...

Manhattan Skyline 1000 FTA or Manhattan 5900?

After looking on eBay, i found a Manhattan Skyline 1000 FTA, which has now ended, but i can acquire from the seller for £17 including delivery. However, it does not have a remote, and aftert contacting the only supplier i could find (eBay don't have any remotes for the model), i was told the...

Problems with ProgDVB (Yankse) and BroadLogic 2030

Thanks for the advice - at least it doesn't crash now, but it doesn't want to decode any of the channels either. On Eurosport it says "Key 08" then proceeds to show me some hexadecimal crap but doesn't actually seem to want to show me the picture or any audio - i just don't know what i'm doing...

Problems with ProgDVB (Yankse) and BroadLogic 2030

Well, after finally securing a BroadLogic 2030 from Germany for just £20 including postage and packaging, i was quite pleased with myself. Then off to the bank i went, having to pay an extra £10 on top of the £20 just to transfer the money to a German bank account - still happy though. Then the...

comag digital sattelite receiver from lidl

Hmm. The only thing i can suggest is to bear in mind that, when looking for satellites other than Astra 28.2E (Sky dishes are aligned to point this way when installed by a Sky engineer), remember to also move your dish so that the LNB is pointing higher up. As a rough guide, Astra 19.2E is a few...

comag digital sattelite receiver from lidl

When you say "right LNB socket", do you mean the one right-most (when facing the front of the receiver), or the one to the left of the right-most one? Because the right-most LNB socket is a loop through, whereas the one to the left of this is the LNB input. What type of dish and LNB are you using?

comag digital sattelite receiver from lidl

I know this might sound patronising, but do you have the box switched on (both at the back and on the front), so that there is some text on the front LEDs?

SilverCrest madness - Sirius, Astra1 and Astra2 off a mindish!

Alas - it didn't work. Now for the wait for a proper SL-65 patch...

comag digital sattelite receiver from lidl

What kind of price are you thinking of selling it for? I might just be looking to buy one if the price is right... :)

comag digital sattelite receiver from lidl

Hmm. Do you have a Universal LNB that supports 22kHz switching? Other than that, i can't think of anything i'm afraid - i'm quite new to all this myself too. You could always get a cheap Sky digibox from a carboot and plug it into your dish. That way, if you can receive BBC1, you know it is...

comag digital sattelite receiver from lidl

Hmmm. Try adding a custom satellite with a bigger range in Menu -> System Installation -> Add Satellite. If you tinker around a bit with the LNB number, it will change the range for you.

SilverCrest madness - Sirius, Astra1 and Astra2 off a mindish!

I already have my hands on a lovely patch, guide and some firmware loading software. Now to wait for my null modem cable to arrive through the post :P. Thanks for all your help with this. Unfortunately this seems to be the case. Still, for a moment there, i thought i had defied science :P.

comag digital sattelite receiver from lidl

I was referred here by someone else and want to help you with this. If you go to Menu -> System Installation -> Manual Tune and then put the following details in (see below), do you get any Signal level? Satellite - Astra28EAS Transponder - ASTRA Frequency MHz - 10773 Sym Rate kSps - 22000...

SilverCrest madness - Sirius, Astra1 and Astra2 off a mindish!

The receiver is pretty good - fast channel changing, easy to understand, lots of features and of course it's damn cheap and quite slim-line for such a good receiver.
