    Fx hd?

"Sky update"? Haven't seen one in yonks! Even with the Box turned on during 'Wakey Wakey' Hours and the Update Mode Used. I have made a point of turning everything off at Night before going "Beddy Byes" for 2 prime reasons: 1. Difference on Electricity Bill, and Yes I have noticed the extra...

    Fx hd?

Hi Tivu, You are correct there is a Manual Clock Setting facility. As I don't go with this Sky crap about 'Standby & Birmingham', I turn everything off at the mains when we have finished watching, so it was really good to find the video start up with the correct time from the analogue signal...

    Fx hd?

Appreciate the explanation Tivù. I suppose I will just have to keep looking for new Non Encrypted, Non Freesat HD Channels as and when they are available and if they do not show the HD icon but sumat else then consign then to 'Dusty Bin' as we will not be able to watch them. On another...

    Fx hd?

No I even got the Magnifying Glass out to double check and it definitely says 'ND'. The Icon looks like a little Suitcase with 'ND' clearly inside the icon but haven't got a clue what it means.

    Fx hd?

Is that why I get a small Icon in the Channel Listing that says 'ND'? As there is nothing in the Humax User Guide that describes the Icons?

    Fx hd?

Hello, Just found FX HD Channel on 'Non Freesat' Manual Tune using Humax Freesat box and while yesterday evening I got the Program Details in the box along the bottom of the TV screen, I then about 1 second later got a message telling me that the 'Channel is scrambled or not available', so no...

    Humax Foxsat use in Europe?

Sorry Analoguesat. All I know is that the Humax Foxsat HD box can be Re-set Manually to the South Beam Transponder, whether it will pick anything up or not is a different question, but here at the moment in the UK it is telling me I have 100% Signal Strength and just over 60% Signal Quality, so...

    Humax Foxsat use in Europe?

Unfortunately I already know what you are telling me, as I have been to Portugal on 4 occasions now, and obtained the 'Footprint Coverage Map' around 4 years ago from a guy who wrote some very helpful information on setting up satellite dishes whilst caravnning. My first trip was using a UK 'Sky...

    Humax Foxsat use in Europe?

Well Topper, you surprise me. Humax Foxsat HD is a Freesat Box. We have used with good results a 60cm dish down as far as the most westerly tip of Portugal, connected to a Pace 1000 Sky Box and a £20 (BBC) viewing card as we got fed up getting ripped off by Sky for Repeats, and more Repeats, so...

    Humax Foxsat use in Europe?

Thank you satelliteman for the 'pointer'. I see that 'iceman' posted a sticky "How to change default transponder on new HD interface" which is what I used to do on the Pace 1000 box (Now obsolete) that I had, however there was no answer to clarify/confirm if this had worked and some of the...

    Humax Foxsat use in Europe?

How kind! Unfortunately I am not a 'Sat Geek' and I just use this technophobic equipment. TV Channels are the 'Normal' ones like BBC1, BBC2, ITV, CNN, CCTV, Channel 4 & Five. I believe the satellite is the one that provides the South Beam Footprint as Portugal is outside the 'normal'...

    Humax Foxsat use in Europe?

Hi. Not sure if this thread is being put in correct place, so if not then sorry. I would like some help please as I am looking to use a Humax Foxsat HD box in Europe predominately Spain & Portugal and wondered if anyone can tell me if this is feasible please? I have an 80cm Dish but have...

    Humax Foxsat HD Problems?

Appreciate your help Tivu. After I 'plumb' this in I can sit down and enjoy a bag of Carrots before mimicking Bugs Bunny. To 'rolfw' I can also get it without the card on my Sky Digi Box but not on the Humax Box but it did not appear to be an alignment problem not with 85% Strength and 80%...

    Humax Foxsat HD Problems?

Hello, Just installed a Humax Foxsat HD Box and whilst I was able to enjoy the channel 'Horse & Country' on a Sky box with the £20 Card fitted, on the Humax Foxsat HD box it tells me the 'Channel is unavailable or scrambled' Is this correct or am I on the wrong satellite? I also cannot get...

    Adding Non Freesat Channels?

Thanks Guys. I am now up to something like 350+ TV Channels including the 1 HD (BBC) that you can watch quite a bit of. I don't count ITV1's 'press the red button' for HD when it appears. However I must admit that it is nice to be able to get rid of all the 'clag' from Sky and set up the...
