why not get a massive pole, possibly about 4m long, set of T&K brackets concrete the pole into the ground and have the dish fixed to your garage, this is what I did.

no, I have a 1m in the north west and get a good signal, for london i'd suggest a minimum of 85cm but even that may not get you a good enough signal.
