Is this 10942H really from 2E, or could this be just shadow signal from upper frequency band 11792H ? (actually 11798H Sky TP). In Finland that 11798H is very higher related to 1N/2F in Finland.

Tests on low band H in tuner to avoid seeing errors Channel5 band change polarity, the analyzer is in external power mode to avoid errors, the LNB powered DB800S-HD tuner.

I understand the accounts.
10942-9750 = 1192Mhz.
1192 +10600 = 11792Mhz.


By comparing measurements Channel5.
DB800S HD.-10964-H SIGNAL SNR56%...... AGC99%.... BER3.... 9'00 dB Channel 5
Vu + DUO2 (tuner3) -. SNR56% ......SIGNAL AGC69% .....BER0 .....Channel 5

Las pruebas en banda baja H, en el sintonizador viendo Channel5 para evitar errores de cambio de banda polaridad, el analizador esta en modo alimentacion externa para evitar errores, el LNB alimentado con el sintonizador DB800S-HD

Entiendo las cuentas.
10942-9750= 1192Mhz.
1192+10600=11792Mhz.

Por compara mediciones de Channel5.

But what are the signal levels in Rover meter for that Sky TP (11798H) ? As LNB can leak that strong signal into lower band.

Impossible to verify with certainty, but why would they be testing a carrier on that frequency between the adjacent 1N and 2F transponders if not 2E?
For me in the UK, the 10942H carrier has the same dB level as those adjacent TPs, so I wouldn't be able to tell what satellite it is. However, as some testing appears to have begun, I suspect it is 2E.

That was there this morning when I looked and Lyngsat suggests it was fired up on the 28th Jan. Levels don't seem any different from previous 2A transponders in the region for me in the UK.

EUROBIRD TO CLOSE
SES has revealed in a press release today that all Eutelsat's Eurobird satellite channels will be transferred to SES Astra's fleet. This follows a long-running dispute between the two rivals over who had the right to operate a section of the satellite spectrum at 28.2 east. Eutelsat will still carry the current package of channels, except they will be broadcast from Astra 2E, 2F and 2G.
What does this mean for viewers? In the British Isles, Eurobird is weaker than in mainland Europe. Its frequencies are often affected by rain and interference. Transmissions from the new generation of Astra satellites will be more powerful within the UK than at present.
In the east of Europe, Scandinavia and eastern Mediterranean, expats may well lose Sky completely. (see beam maps below) Astra 2A will close. Its south and north beam channels will be moved to the new satellites. This may mean weaker, but not loss, of signals for most paid-for Sky channels in Southern Spain, such as Sky Movies and Sports.

10942H 23000 ⅔ is not listed on Lyngsat or Flysat, yet it is showing 2x ITV One HD, STV HD, Watch HD and StarPlus HD. From the signal strength, it looks to be from 1N, not from 2E or 2F UK spot or European. Perhaps this group of channels is being prepared on 1N first, prior to the switch to 2E.
11739v is from 2A.
It's not possible that there is a real signal on 11728, this is too close to the 2A transponder on 11720H carrying Sky Box Office.

I can confirm 11728V contains several channels - and they are not listed on lyngsat or kingofsat.

Yes but the listings sites follow, not lead: They rely to a large extent upon people like us sending information.

So if they don't reflect something you notice, tell them!

Try scanning 11728 V 27500 this freq. not listed on any satellite directories yet, but lock for me and some others.
