you see thats the idea i have,
change my lnb to a quad or twin,
let the dm800se be the boss and control the motor,
and get a STB or pc card for feed hunting,
ive been looking at the tbs6925 for some time but at £170 odd quid im not quiet sure,
seen other tbs card on the famous auction site for about 70-80 quid but dont know much about them,
i also want something whether it be a STB or a pc card that i can just use for blind scanning,
and which is easy to reset to default if anything goes pants up,
like how you do...
i do like that you can watch sport italia on 12.5w with the tbs6925 card,
whether you can on the other tbs cards, im not sure...
how much did you pay for your skybox?
which pc card you got?

skybox got very sensitive tuners?

very tempted especially with the price,
seen inverto black quad lnbs for only £15 delievered on the famous auction site too...

i also wanted to ask and i know it might sound stupid lol,
i've got the standard single inverto black lnb hooked up at the moment,
but does having a lnb with extra outputs like twin or quad, make a difference to signal?

Some people noticed a difference between these on different frequency bands with the twin performing marginally better than the single one. There was a thread on this somewhere not long ago.

i was thinking of getting the twin lnb,
but for a extra couple of quid the quad would be better,
just for the extra outputs...

i was just wondering whether it would make the signal worse,
compared to the standard single lnb,
i'll see if i can find the thread....

I use a single on the 1mtr and a twin on the 1.2, i drive the 1.2 with a t/m 3000d and scan with the skybox f3s, peeps don't appear to have problems with the skybox f3 moving the motor as i do with the f3s saj,

The f3s sends the dish to the wrong sat atm new firmware might sort it but like ive said a few times now its not a problem i do like the box for scanning its a great box :-).

minutes.

its dependant on which MHZ step size you use on the TM5402HD but the TM is faster from what i can remember of the f3 i owned although later F/W versions could have altered this. ATM the TM5402HD has a flaw in the SW which displays really low SR rates as 45000 which you probably know anyway. you do a good job already m8 with your feed catches

credit goes to the feed hunters not me mate,
i do really want something for myself to start searching,
yea i was reading about the sr issue,
the price difference between the tm5402 and skybox is more then double,
also IMO for any STB over £100 it has to have decent support,
and i think by the looks of it, from what i've read on some forums
some TM owners arent too happy at the moment

im thinking of buying the skybox f5s and invertblack twin or quad lnb

i also was thinking it might be worthwhile to upgrade dish,
which could also help with feed hunting,
i've seen this faval 1.25m dish on eb*y,
the item number is 360352232779
im tempted with it because the size and i can put it on my tm2600 motor due to it being too heavy

anyone had experience with these dishes?

will it be a big improvement compared to my generic 90cm dish?
just to give you an idea im receiving 28.2e to 45w

Yes, it will be a big improvement over what you've currently got but.......

Looking at the mounting bracket it won't fit onto a standard Diseqc motor like the TM2600 without substantial mods. It will possibly fit onto a Stab motor, where the motor stub is reversed from normal but I think the dish will be too heavy, especially if it's mounted in an exposed location, where it's not simply the weight that's a concern but the wind shearing forces that will be applied.

it wont be exposed too much
see i thought at first the tm2600 wont fit on,
but the seller does a package with that dish and the dark motor
item number 360397671185
i think i'll need to contact the seller to double check though, i could be wrong...

anyone own a faval dish? or had one previously?

p.s like your laminas dish! :)
