currently I'm watching some good football matches but tomorrow I will post the results. Can't I get another satellite instead of 26?
Probably you remember in the other thread that from Holland I could get only 2 tp's already with the 2100plus and not in USALS

sorry Lauro .. any weaker satellite will do + hotbird

Hello, Lauro

and what can you say about its sensitive?

I connected the 2 recievers with CT5000 as a master and I have not seen a difference between them.

The only difference is in mesuring the level % and quality %:

97% 97% for CT 21000 plus are equal to 80% 80% for CT 5000

For better answer to your question I should get a different brand (Vantage, TM etc etc).

For sure I watch more feeds due to the HD receiver

I have both the the TM1500 and the Vantage 221 blindscan and the Vantage is more sensitive with option for more detailed blind searches, but the TM has better software support. Not so important at the moment with only a few packages open but a factor none the less.

Clark Tech, has no good sofware support,it takes along time, until a update come out!
does the combi receiver hd from clark tech, still have this audio porblem, that most of the channels espasaly on turksat without sound, because this receiver, dont support all audio codecs, this was the reason why i sold it after 2 weeks!

Hi Turok,

probably you are right but could you, pls, tell me the channels on turksat with audio problems? I think with the latest fw everything works fine:)

Thanks

,this is 4 month ago,i dont remember the names, but it was around 20 channels
i sold receiver in the meantime
,the same problem i also have on 40,5 nss 806! in cband

it looks like, when it works on other satellites okay, that theese affected channels, maybe not support 100% the standarts of the audio codec, because,it not happens,on "normal" satellites, but, like i told on turksat and nss 806 in cband

i never see this before, but i know, that some countrys, not always, use 100% conform dvb standarts, and when it is in the software not always implimentaded correctly, then this happens!

Hola pedro et all,

please find below my blind scan test results:

13 est HB

CT 2100 plus: 14.50 minutes and 931 channels found (63% within 7.22 minutes)

CT 5000 HD plus: 7.20 minutes and 1336 channels found (63% within 5.34 minutes)

15 west TELSTAR

CT 5000 HD plus: 34,10 minutes and 76 channels found (63% within 16,20 minutes)

CT 2100 plus: I did not dare...;)...no time

During the test it was raining ...can that influence the test?

I leave you the considerations and it would be great to see the same test on a Vantage or TM or others

Thanks for taking the time LAURO and quite a result change on Hotbird... not sure how many channels are on Hotbird... and a good demo of weaker / less populated sats take longer...

Blind scans obviously take longer on lower tp populated and weaker satellites rather than just using Hotbird for it's large number of channels as any single bench mark and that includes that it takes longer in bad weather ...

If I was back writing software I'd stop scanning after I'd found a TP on H or V and jump to just before the next likely frequency etc.. On the strong/ busy Hotbird that would save a lot of wasted scanning time. (I'd also check for SR 27500 first then 22000 & a few others first before going through the SR range.. if they already do that then speed on some sats can be much faster if most use 27500 SRs etc.. it's a good trick.... but wouldn't give you a good 'blind' scanning measure)

On weaker and/or low populated sats it has to do (should do) far more searching & error checking etc.. to find less TPs as it goes through the same KU band & far more error checking when it knows it's found a tp and tries to get the info off it etc.

it's all good fun...

Is that 5 minutes ... that's close to the smart... but a few less channels than the Clarke...

was that on an empty satellite or 13e with channels / tps already on it ...

that was a scan on 13e with a 4mhz step, which i already have on my channel list

the few channels missed will be hd channels as this isn't a hd receiver as it skips hd transponders

sounds good, i don't think you will be disappointed with the vantage i wasn't and i was coming from only having used technomate receivers

how are you moving the dishes by a positioner ?

Hello Wod!
good morning:)
i never have any technomate,
but i think many older models, are also based on older clark tech receivers ,from the platine layout?
can you confirm this?
maybe today ,is diffrent?

I'll be using one moving dish the rest will be fixed dishes.

I move my dish using a positioner with zapper and happy to go down that route.

My setup is in for a real shake up as I have to move them as the wife wants an extension for her kitchen.:):):)
