tm5400 really good been playing with it and it gave me the % increase I wanted, so really happy even with weak sats 7w and 26e.

Also fitted a external memory so have pvr too.

Well not sure about that as so far its not as sensitive as my 5 year Topfield 3000. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Still prefer the Topfield software.

Finally smartcard24 dot de came up trumps as regards they delivered what they promised at a very good price.

i never have any technomate,
but i think many older models, are also based on older clark tech receivers ,from the platine layout?
can you confirm this?
maybe today ,is diffrent?

the Technomate & Clark Tech do 'share' - not sure how much software/ hardware & which models exactly and who is first/2nd etc..

Ok here we go, I scanned Nilesat but got Fox Movies and the others on that transponder twice, one with pixilation the other perfect with good signal. Can someone explain that?

I have 2007 software is there a newer update?

Is that result from blind scan or scan from the supplied transponers?

Thats from supplied transponders but I've deleted all the double channels. All coming in very well now.

I don't see factory reset.

More testing going on.

It's a Vantage... but the answer is worse than yes apparently ... they do it for you by the sound of it before they send them out.:-rofl2

That is a poor show if they send out receivers already with the dreaded blind scan duplicated TPs.

helle strangly, this dublication,on openbox x810 for e.g does not happens on every sattelite, when i scan the turksat for e.g it could happens, that it doublicate a channel up to 4 times,on other satelltes this never hapens, with this receiver!
test with difrent lnbs, shows difrent results on openbox, sometimes, the result,of dublicate channels was lower,on some lnb brands,on turksat then on other, but it happens more often,on low simbolrates weak signals, thats very strange..

Hi!
dont take a look on that in the meantime i have sold the x 810 ,because the tuner was misarble bad,i used now old koskom sdf,old version, that i have modify with jtag interface,to run openbox soft, new koskom models you cant modify because, the have change some details on the mainboard series now!
i have now much better tuner, like kaon, but no blindscan feature!

i make this test, with my 2,20m tagra dish, during that time, when eastbeam was very weak, since the satellite change, now signal, exept of some transponders are strong enough!

but you could right, also on eurobird 2,the freqencys, are very near together, during that time, with incacom lnb,i have much more dublicates,on this test, with this receiver, then on other brands, when i look on the signal meter,i see, that the signal, linarity of incacom lnbs, are very unstable, and the signal mauntains in the eqalizer tremble a lot,on the quad invacom,i never see this,on other lnbs!

in other words,i could imagine, that bad unstable lnbs,in combination, with non senstive tuner, are responsible for this strange result!

i could imagine, that the tuner try,in blindscan mode,to scan the transponder infromation twice, and because,of the signal declination, then it dublicates in memory!:)

Hello Turok,

I can´t confirm that, what you wrote here .

I use Openbox X-810 since about 1,5 years and there never was a problem with it´s tuner.

I would say that blind scannig with this receiver works very fine!

Best Regards
Edgar.

if you want,i can send you the receiver for testing, then you will see the difrence!
this old tuner version,in the first siries of koscom,is much better, then todays tuners,of the same koskom version!
the new versions, has other tuner, and canot be modify with the orginal openbox software, because, the loader, and the complete mainboard layout has been changed!
only first hardware revsion of 3510 was good, much more sensitive then x810!

there are many clones, but all of them use cheap crapy tuners!

with 3,66 m,on most channels,i belive you when you see no difrence, then signal,is enough,on most channels!,when the signal is strong enough, and not hard on the limit on some transponders with 2,40m mesh, then the tuner sensity is "secandary":)

Hello Turok,

there are also lot of weak signals with 366cm dishsize.

I didn´t say, that Openbox X-810 is better than your (first) Koscom receiver. I only want to say that Openbox is very good for blind scannig and has realy a good tuner (->and not a not miserable!) inside. That´s all!

No problem for me to test your Koscom receiver here :).

Best Regards
Edgar.
