I wanted to message the ebay watchers, but ebay will only let you put a LOWER price in the offer (10% lower I think) that is then binding. I did not want to do that so raised the price today so I can message them all tomorrow, no doubt a few of the guys on here will get the offer tomorrow. I have 655 views and 24 watchers and had numerous messages saying why are you selling, isn't it great etc. etc. but not one offer yet. When It's gone (sold or scrap) I'll share with you where it came from, you'll never believe where! Cheers

It came from Masons Road, the work site of Precision Antennas. It might have been sold to a client with interesting provenance but that is ancient history.
Provenance can obviously add value but it depends on the artefact and the provenance. I am not sure if it applies to satellite dishes that were manufactured by the hundreds, possibly thousands?

If some toby offers you £300 for it take it, the guys on 'ere are clued up and been watching the price go up and down, they not easily caught on the hook.
As for eBay, you can always cancel the listing and create a new listing with appropriate pricing.

I will offer you £200 delivered for it, just to give it a home. If you have any affection for the dish it might be worth considering low ball offers from people offering it a good home.
It will get regular baths and be well cared for.

Give over, you started it off on eBay at £390 before jacking it up to £490 after reading positive comments on this forum.
It's back where it started at with a price of £390 to Sats UK members.

whats the reason for sale - upgrade, or moving? if you're not moving, let the auction run

Seems an odd way to sell something tbh.

Put a price on it, then up the price, then tell everyone on here if it's not sold your going to scrap it, then drop the price to the original price.

oh - its not on auction, buy it now only....well that answers that - still, keep it though.

im sure he'd accept £250 if someone made an offer - id rather that, than destroy it personally

He aint gonna destroy it, its just a ploy, same as them sellers who list stuff on forum classfieds with the desription of "final price drop before listing on eBay..."
I offered £200 delivered just to give it a good home.

+1, agreed.

Everyone on here knows what has been going on and the members here are probably his best chance of a sale.
The sale has been poorly managed in my personal opinion.

That was a mistake to say if it’s not sold it will be scrapped
If my garden is south facing (actually North facing ) I will happily pay £250 and take it to Scotland.

Far enough back from any buildings and trees in a North facing garden should be fine, just depends on elevation angles and clearance of obstructions.
If it is an offer, your £250 collected is the best we have seen so far in this topic.

Garden is 10 meter with double story house I think it’s impossible to get clear line of sight south and east unless dish will be on a high platform due to high winds in Midlothian it’s bad idea.

£250 that’s what I believe is good price but I might be wrong
Seller asking price is too high
